Wrong again I am not here to start trouble, my initial comment said that two games releasing within months of each other is ulitmate milking.

So then the same could be said about Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

I mean SERIOUSLY! What are you complaing about?

No, that's like totally different because that was 11 months before Halo 5, huge difference right there...

Masterchief had a completely remsastered game with CG in the game. It was almost a completely new rendition of the classic. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. If Uncharted pulls that off then i'll be impressed.

HAlf that collection still doesn't work. THese games were old, UC 2 and 3 already look amazing, apples and oranges. They also did not remake halo 2 for the collection, it was just a halo 2 anniversary port.

It works. ODST just dropped as well to boot.

Big difference halo MCC-Nov 11, Halo 5-Oct 27 = 11.5 months Also actual effort was put into the collection, redone Halo 2, all mp...

Unchared Collection Oct 7, Uncharted 4~~ End of March   (Based soley off BB release) 6 months, no mp, simple 1080p port.

Not really when you consider Halo: The Master Chief Collection was fully playable in March 2015.  That is exactly 7 months prior to the release of Halo 5.

YESSSS!!
xbox one price down up to $299 :P

Should've come up with a more original name, sounds too much like Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

And The Master Chief Collection sounds a lot like The Sly Collection, and Jak and Daxter Collection.

ollection, which makes it different bcuase the name of the games is Halo. Sly is actually the name of the games.

Sly and Jake is the name of the protagonist... but sure Master Chief must be in the birth certificate of Master Chief.

Nice.

Since these two games happen to be named after the characters, you can't really do that. The point is they had the "Character name collection" part, which is the only part that's "original" in the MCC title.

There's a Chrisptopher Reeve Superman Collection for example.
But let me guess, it's the name of the actor, not the character, and the the character name is in there... but it's also the name of the title, and it's reversed, so it's different!

Give me a break.
Halo: The Master Chief Cllection is not original name. Not by a longshot. They took the idea of "charactername + collection" from someone else and put it in their title, plain and simple.
But now the defsnse is "it doesn't have the name and title in there". What's next? It's missing a "The"?

And let's ignore that both these games are far below the level of Halo, as that is completely irrrelevant.

The fact this discussion is rolling in most foruns proves that there is a general perception that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the first using this pattern. You can´t expect people to remember about a 10 years old Superman DVD collection.

Sony has its reasons and we can only especulate, MCC is fresh in our memory that is the whole point I called it wierd Sony using a pattern that would be instantaly associated with last year release.

That's one good reason to release the collection, not the only one. And PSNow isn't viable for everyone, and you know that.

I feel like Steve Irwin right now:

"Look at him! Look at the bugger go! See how he seamlessly switches from one complaint to another as each prior complaint gets shot down as being petty. Man, he sure has adapted well to his environment, slithering away from anything else that might put him in a bind"

Made me snigger, you missed a 'crikey mate' though, so you miss out on a 10/10.

And the original point regarding PS Now is a good one. It is only fully available in a few countries right now, and of course they aren't improved or remastered in any way as well.

I am not sure what is going on in this thread anymore but it needs to stop right now. I'm all up for opposing opinions and discussions as long as they are relevant and reasonable. Derailing this thread by turning into a war between PS and Xbox fans is not relevant or reasonable and it will be subject to moderation. Along with that, the whole debate if the Uncharted collection copied MCC's name "debate" at this point is just derailing the thread even more and doesn't really have anything to do with the topic at hand.
