I've been hearing rumours that "When Marnie was There" is Ghibli's last film before they go in a long hiatus. IMDB's trivia page for the film states this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3398268/trivia?ref_=tt_trv_trv
There's also a review of "When Marnie was There" from Verge that speculates this as well: http://www.theverge.com/2015/5/22/8643009/when-marnie-was-there-review
...And this one as well: http://blogs.indiewire.com/thompsononhollywood/when-marnie-was-there-rumored-to-be-studio-ghiblis-last-gets-us-release-trailer-20150115
Is it true though? I feel kind of bad since I really got into their films the past few years.
And while we're here what's your favorite Ghibli films so far? I haven't watched all of them yet, but out of the ones I've watched, I say Mononoke is my personal favorite. Second would be Spirited Away and third may be The Tale of Princess Kaguya just for the feels. However, I haven't seen Graveyard of the Fireflies yet, but I heard the feels are strong in that one as well so I want to save that one for last. So for me:
1. Princess Mononoke (should be called the Legend of Ashitaka the more I think of it)
2. Spirited Away
3. The Tale of Princess Kaguya
Also, has anyone watched "When Marnie was There" yet? I haven't watch it yet but I plan to!
