The next entry in Natsume’s Harvest Moon series is Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories, due out for Wii U, PC, iOS, and Android this winter, the publisher announced. 

The new title is inspired by the old school gameplay of the very first games with “modern twists.” Players are tasked with the job of revitalizing a farm, players will need to befriend villagers in town to unlock “Seeds of Memories.” These can be unlocked in many ways, such as giving a villager their favorite item, catching a giant fish, or by raising your first crow.

In the animal department, cows, sheep, and chickens return, along with a horse to ride and a dog to keep as a pet. Farmers will also be able to take care of a bobcat, which starts out wild, but as players befriend the animal, they can convince it to become their friend.

The game also features cooking, fishing, foraging, and mining, as well as tool upgrades. Players will be able to partake in contests and festivals like the Cooking Contest and Starry Night Festival. There will also be 10 marriage candidates, five male and five female.

Natsume will showcase more of the new Harvest Moon at this month’s E3.

Harvest Moon games created by Natsume usually don't end up as good as the ones developed by Marvelous, so I probably will be skipping this game..

I forgot about the Harvest moon fiasco. Im just praying Natsume drops their creepy art direction they have been using for the series. Really off putting.

Ugh I just hope its not as bad as The Lost Valley, but im not holding my breath. I hope Marvelous makes a true Farm Story game for Wii U

Really random, but okay! All I want is for it to actually take advantage of the Wii U's hardware and not just be a straight port from mobile platforms, and for it to be retail. Then they would have my attention.

Waiting with anticipation that they will go a little above and beyond. It being at E3 helps a bit (being as it were complete shit I figured they would have announced it a day or two ago).

yeah, i bought story of seasons for 3ds, but i certainly welcome harvest moon on consoles, especially if they're going to have a more classic feel!

I feel as long as they don't try to be more than what they are, the game will be fine. Either way, I'm excited and will keep my eye on this.

It's on Android so that makes it a cross-gen title on NX. Wii U owners screwed again!!
