True, the same is the case in South Africa. World Cups should only be hosted in countries who already have the stadiums or have a good use for them.

I agree that the stadiums in South Africa were oversized as well, but at least it's a vast country with over 50m people.
In Qatar, some stadiums are being built that are bigger than the cities surrounding them. 10 of the 12 World Cup stadiums are within 30 minutes (by car) of the city centre of Doha.

peronally, i hope he implicated in these scandels, so much corruption has been going on during his time here, and i bet my ass that he has done a great deal of it. he has been a dictator on the fifa organization and has harmed it much more than he benefited it. on a personal side note, fifa presidents from now on should be allowed no more than 8 years in charge. |
Not sure if this is accurate, but I read somewhere that he gets to choose his successor this way.
