So many developers working on one game is a recipe for a disaster.

If them numbers are correct they are terrible for the industry it would mean the X1 is 300k down YoY and the PS4 is down 400k YoY along with the Wii U been non existant the console sales would be massively down.

MS may have a good chance at taking December but they have been getting out price or out valued for the first 2 weeks of the NPD so far as most retailers have stock a $269 PS4 vs a $299 X1 and Amazon have been offering a $269 PS4 with a free 12 month PS+ worth $50 this past week so MS definitely have some catching up to do when both consoles drop to $249 again tomorrow.

I'm sure the Xbox team will be watching closely the state of sales during this holiday period and will effect how they market the Scorpio, If like you said it shows that the generation has already peaked they will go full marketing on pushing Scorpio as the next generation supporting full Xbox One backwards compatibility rather than the whole family of devices route.

I don't see how either company could push another console before 2020 after the Pro/Scorpio and unfortunately they both may of delayed us jumping fully into the next gen at 2018. MS do seem to be moving away from generations and going the console every 3-4 year route per revision route supporting the 2 latest models giving each console a 6-8 year guarenteed life cycle but I still think we should of rode this generation out until 2018 and got a big upgrade of a console  to take us into the next generation and the jump to 4k.

He knows the actual NPD numbers as MS are subscribers to it so would be weird for him to retweet that if it's completely wrong but if so they really are bad sales for the industry with the Xbox One been down 23% YoY and the PS4 down 30% YoY.

hmm I was thinking about where they will go next with Killer Instinct as they can't keep doing seasons forever as fatigue will set in and get lower sales and probably need a new game completely but not sure also how they would move forward enough to make the new game that much different for people to see it as a completely new game.

I've read that the source is someone named crapgamer, and another individual. Apparently they are not credible at all. 

I was doing a bit of digging around for something on the Windows Central article and found that Jez Corden has been active on reddit and he sounds sure that he sources are accurate? Says his editor wouldn't of allowed the article to be published if the sources weren't solid as it would completely ruin their reputation.

One of the replies he made:

A: The people who leaked this information to me are under contract NOT to give away sales figures, the people who gave me these figures said they didn't care either way if I posted them. Clearly these figures are of interest.

B: I started digging for hard information at the start of the podcast, because I'm a professional. I have sources, and I was interested to know if Mooch was speaking the truth or it was some fake news/hyperbole/rumor that was being used to further some Xbox fanboy's agenda. Turns out it wasn't.

C: At the end of the podcast, I revealed that I did finally get the hard figures, and they were accurate. I invite Sony, Xbox, or anyone to come and refute them. I know 100% that these figures are accurate, and have since confirmed their validity with secondary sources.

Whether it is just false information or not I don't have a clue and we may never get the NPD numbers this month as the only 100% reliable leaker in the past few months has shutdown her twitter account.

Been thinking about buying Dead Rising 4 all day and on Amazon it said order before 10.30pm so i thought I'd leave it until later and might grab it and I was just about to order it and it says order in the next 17 hours for delivery on Monday :( So I bought a crate of beer instead :D

Will revisit the potential purchase of it sometime next week instead.

Was just browsing around looking for games and I came across this and though it was worth a share for those who haven't played it yet.

The Little Acre looks nice, at least the art style does.

I finished Dishonored 2 the other night. Good game. Going to start Bioshock or XCOM2 next and I'm looking forward to that Forza Horizon 3 dlc :P
