Got a bunch of games lately, so I'm going to share some early impressions:

Mass Effect 3
First time playing it and wow it's incredible. 4 hours in and thus far it seems like best game in the series. 3rd person shooting is fantastic with levels that are not nearly as linear (or at least appear less linear). Graphics that, with better textures, would rival even X1 games. Much more RPG elements than ME2.
Really enjoying my time with it.

Doom
Not much to say as I only played the first level. Graphics are very nice and gameplay is pretty fluid. I'm a sucker for story though, so it certainly won't be one of my favourite FPS. Good game for sure though.

Dying Light
Quite different from Dead Island. Story and NPCs are leagues above it, but it feels a bit too much like a survival game IMO. I haven't found a single gun yet (bit over 3 hours in) and every generic zombie takes about 8 hits with a melee weapon to kill. Really can't find anything more powerful.
Bottom line I think the game is a bit too hard and since you are pretty agile, there aren't many frightening moments either, so I don't see the point.

Battlefield 1
Only played the first few campaign missions and as of now I don't see why the campaing is hyped that much. So far there's a serious lack of mission variety. Drive your tank there, destroy these anti aircraft guns, drive further, destroy these anti aircraft guns, drive further etc.
And after that when you're supposed to scout ahead you come to a point where it's just kill these 5 foot soldiers and 2 mini tanks, wait for next wave, kill these 5 foot soldiers and 2 mini tanks, wait for next wave etc.

The Witcher 3
Everytime I saw images of this game I couldn't quite understand why people say it's the best looking console game (at least at launch). The game looks much better in motion. At this point that probably the only thing I can say about this game. Gwent is a nice too, but I don't see why it's getting its own game just yet.

Forza Horizon 2
Amazing. Having so much fun with it. Absolutely nothing negative to say.

Other recent games I bought and haven't touched yet:
Wasteland 2
Battleborn
Mad Max
LEGO The Hobbit
CoD Black Ops 3 (to be fair it hasn't arrived yet)

Bethesda Game Studio’s action RPG ‘Fallout 4’ had released Patch update 1.8 for Xbox One users. The update is no more than a patch, fixing issues with the game, but bringing about no new features. You can read the the full patch list below:

Fixed an issue in which some sound effects would not persist after reloading in an area
Resolved an occasional crash when exiting to the Main Menu, and trying to start a New Game
Fixed an issues with spaces in Mods search queries
Cannot rate “WIP” Work in Progress Mods, and Mods can now only be rated after they have been downloaded
Doubled the amount of browse-able tiles in the Mods menu
Fixed a rare crash that would occur when a Mod had an unexpected data structure
Fixed an issue in which Library and/or Favorite Mods categories would not display correctly in specific situations
Fixed an issue in which some Mods images would not load when scrolling quickly
A Sentry Bot firing dual Gatling Lasers will no longer cause the audio to cut out
This patch has already been available for PC users for over a week, and a PS4 version just went live as well, featuring MOD support that Xbox One users already have.

I just picked up Dishonored 2 but won't be able to play it until tomorrow evening.

I played Fifa 17 and Gears of War 4 on my brothers Xbox One S last night. He also has a new LG 4k hdr television and what I noticed was he had noticeably less input lag than I have on my Samsung smart-tv :S I was completely dominating in Fifa, one touch quick passing, dribbling and defending was so fluid and easy. Also frame rate in Horde felt much smoother for some reason.

I need a new television, currently I'm at serious disadvantage when playing Fifa -____-

Man everybody so hesitant to buy a damn good game for a measly 30 bucks. This is why publishers keep finding new ways to rip people off for fractions of content.

That's what's so strange about TF2's situation.  With the exception of Coliseum mode, there's no purchaseable DLC (currently).  No microtransaction system set up nor future map packs.  The response?

"Meh...I'll wait for a sale."

THESE are the ones that gamers should be supporting first week!

I like to get good value out of games that I pay full price for. If a game is only 20-30 hours long and I know I have no intent of ever playing it again; why would I waste 60 bucks on it? But hey, that's just how I see it.

The games I know I'll be playing for hours and hours, I buy on launch and pay full price for. I bought Xenoblade Chronicles X, Captain Toad, Bayonetta 2, Gears of War 4 and others. But if I don't think I'll be dedicating serious time to a game, I will wait until there is a price drop. I'm sure that its the same for lots of other gamers too.

So I'm loading up on games from earlier in the Xbox One life cycle. I am a recent refugee from Nintendo so I missed out on quite a bit. I bought Rare Replay, Tomb Raider, The Metro Collection and a couple others. Is there anything else on the BF Sale I should be grabbing before the sale ends?

^^^Wolfenstein: The New Order is only 6 bucks right now, I've seen pretty much universal praise for it, might buy it right now myself.

One game I forgot to mention and saw nobody mentioned it as well is Ori. Everyone needs to get this game.

There is nothing strange about TF2's situation. They released a shooter, of which the only previous entry was an exclusive to a relatively small userbase, in a window with the two biggest shooters of the year releasing withing a week of it front and back, and they did this while changing the multiplayer in a way that alianated a large chunk of their fanbase to boot.

EA sent this game out to die. Whoever made the decision to release it in this way is either seriously inept, or just plain didn't give a fuck about this game's success. At the very latest, this game should have been delayed after they did their "alpha test" a couple months back, because they saw all the negative feedback, and already knew what kind of massive hype their new Battlefield game had going for it, and CoD is CoD, which is tough to go up against every year (even if it is down in sales).

If TF2 had launched early next year, it could have done very very well for itself, but the holiday greed goggles had EA possibly kill this franchise

Found a nice nude mod for Fallout 4 (some say it's a CBBE port and it looks pretty good, so maybe it is). What's more suprising, it hasn't been taken down for 3 months by the looks of it.

EDIT: It's been reupped a few times. The mod in its current state is online for 3 weeks.
