MS should bring XO back.

Hod did you guys liked they new Quantum Break trailer? Personnaly the game sold me when I saw the gameplay from Gamescom... that trailer did nothing for me. At the same time I care very little for story trailers. Most of the time I only want to see how it plays.

I'm glad we finally got a look at Beth Wilder in the trailer, or at least I assume she's the girl in the trailer. Originally she was supposed to be one of the 3 main playable characters in the game, but something changed over the course of development, afaik only Jack Joyce is playable now, and Paul Serene is only "playable" when you make the choices at the end of each gameplay chapter that influence the tv show.

I never knew there were other playable characters... haha how do you get all these info :P

BTW thanks for the videos. The new TR dlc looks amazing and I'm still puzzeled on how I didn't picked Halo 5 yet...

The original Quantum Break reveal. Remedy said that Jack, Beth, and Paul were all present when the time experiment at Riverport University went wrong, giving them each a unique time power. Paul, the villain, gained the ability to see the future (precognition), Jack (the main playable character) gained the ability to manipulate time in the ways we've seen in the gameplay trailers, and Beth was to have her unique time power revealed in the future, but it never happened, and she's barely been mentioned at all since the original reveal, just her actress on the tv show's cast list. Either they're saving details about her until right before the game releases, or she's been relegated to a minor cast member instead of a main cast member and playable character. The popular theory was that her unique time power would be to rewind time, similar to Max in Life is Strange (perhaps she was removed as a playable character because Life is Strange was announced and they didn't want to look like they were copying Life Is Strange).

As for their names, some little known trivia, Pual Serene and Beth Wilder had their names pulled from a poem in Alan Wake: ""Beyond the lake he calls home lies a deeper, darker ocean green, where the waves are both wilder and more serene."

Edit: Yep, Biggest Xbox BF was 2011, where a $200 250 GB Holiday Bundle, Modern Warfare 3, and Skyrim all helped push 360 up to 1.3m world wide for the week according to VGC data. So sales are definitely somewhere between last year's 940k and 2011's 1.3m. I think previous 2nd biggest BF was 2012 with 1.1m, so should be between 1.1m and 1.3m somewhere.


Gaming in full force it seems. But do you think they are counting both X1 and X360 as Xbox to make it seem bigger than it really is? You can be sure this argument will be brought to no end lol...

Damn Fifa16 and Ultimate Team... I was hooked again for 2 weeks, didn't play anything else. Still haven't touched RotTR and finally continued Fallout 4 couple of days ago. Now on lvl33 :P

Nice to see X1 did some good black Friday sales!

Edit: Yep, Biggest Xbox BF was 2011, where a $200 250 GB Holiday Bundle, Modern Warfare 3, and Skyrim all helped push 360 up to 1.3m world wide for the week according to VGC data. So sales are definitely somewhere between last year's 940k and 2011's 1.3m. I think previous 2nd biggest BF was 2012 with 1.1m, so should be between 1.1m and 1.3m somewhere.


I think Kinect was really the biggest factor.

88 percent!  88% !! 

That's amazing.  They were have 20+ percent increase in digital sales on the 360 this summer, but 88% in one year in the Xbox Store (which means online and digital copies.)

And people laugh at me when I say physical is dead.  (Ok, not dead yet, but the scales have tipped – more are going to be buy digitally from now on – Gamestop’s worst fear has come true – the digital beast is unlocked.)



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
