What happened to Fable Legends beta btw? Was there even one? Anyway, I'm going to try this game when it's out.

Fable Legends just got PEGI rated 12. Could MS be planning a stealth release soon? Games don't usually get rated until after they've gone Gold:

Fable Legends
Microsoft studios
The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 12 years and over only.
It contains: Non realistic looking violence towards human characters - Sexual images and/or sexual innuendo - Mild bad language
System: Xbox One
Genre: RPG
Releasedate: 2015-11-15

That means release should be pretty close. I guess MS will try and surprise the release.

Made the mistake of getting ESO. Having fun with but it is way to big and way to much to do..while having Fallout 4..

I've never seen a game cheat as much as Gems of War.

The arena matches are hilarious.

ROTTR on Xbox One did well in the UK, it's likely the units sold already surpassed Tomb Raider DE lifetime sales with digital included. In comparison to the 360's Tomb Raider which sold 104K first week in the UK it did half on those numbers but the 360s install base is at 8 million not to mention Tomb Raider(2013) had no major competition so it's really impressive that ROTTR sold well despite games like Fallout 4 releasing on the same day. So ROTTR had a good first week and should not be considered a flop like some people are saying.

Agreed, it would have had a lot better numbers if it didn't release on the same day as one of the biggest releases this year. However, I think the game will have very good legs.

What's Big Team Battle like? Team Dethmatch with more players and vehicles perhaps?

I should find some time to play more Halo. Warzone is much fun and I haven't even tried assault yet.

So I'm honestly a bit surprised Fallout 4 is up for game of the year. It's a good, fun game, but man oh man it's also disappointing.

Overly simplified at every turn. Seriously it's like they made this game for people that have never played, or ever had any interest in playing, an RPG.

Base building.....stop it. This isn't even as good as Forge in Halo 3. Saying it's akward to use is being kind.

Maybe I've simply been unlucky in terms of the quests I've encountered so far, but they mostly seem quite uninspired. Go here, kill this. But don't worry, you're told to do so by someone prototypically quirky/humorous every other time.

The radio music. Great in a vacuum. However, considering the fact that Fallout 3 and New Vegas exist, this is just lazy. What did they add, 1...2 new tracks? I don't even wanna turn it on anymore because frankly I was burned out on those tracks half a decade ago. It's made worse by the fact that the radio personality is unbearable before you do his quest, and simply forgettable and unremarkable once you have.

The shooting mechanics are greatly improved. Good right? Well it would be, if they didn't compensate this by making every enemy a bum rushing speed demon to force you into VATS anyway, for fear of it becoming irrelevant.

The main story. Well it's what you'd expect from Bethesda really. Boring, poorly thought out, often poorly written, and terribly executed. Hey man your baby is missing, wanna go find it? Fuck of Bethesda. Your strength is the world in your games and that people wanna discover every nook and cranny in them, use that to your advantage and focus a main story around discovery instead of trying to make the player care for a family member they really have no investment in, and thusly feel no urgency in EVER finding or will ever come to care for. Seriously, who keeps pitching this same crap over there? It doesn't suit your playbox.

Guns and armor no longer need to be repaired, and making money is so easy that I could buy all the best items in the game in less than a day without breaking a sweat. Nice. Way to make me work for it.

Monsters hit harder, but every group of enemies carries around a hospitals worth of stimpaks to supply you with all the healing your heart desires.

Power armor is super cool in this game. But.....why on earth did you not implement a way to call it in to you wherever? On a first play through I have no idea when/where I may be needing it. You think I'm really gonna double down on loading screens just to go grab my armor and go back to where I was? No. I'll just tough it out. I suppose this is why they quickly throw enough fusion cores at you to power the entirety of Boston well into the next nuclear winter, that way you can just equip it permanently and not worry about this. That of course, makes the game cake mode.

Morality? Fuck it. You're a good guy. If not, 90% of the companions are useless to you, and you can also only remain with, and see through to the end 1 of the 4 joinable factions in the game. Hell, you are a grieving widow with a lost baby after all. It makes sense to be caring. Go with it.

I could go on for days......

Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, and I'm not trying to convince anyone to enjoy it less by any means. But if people are throwing it into a GotY discussion in a year where Witcher 3 came out then I simply have to hold Bethesda to a much higher standard than this, because Fallout 4 frankly doesn't belong anywhere near the same sentence as that game. And that's not even touching on bugs, glitches, technical issues, etc....

Frankly, Bethesda should be held to higher standards in general, not just in terms of this year's GotY awards. They can do better. They've proven it, both with previous games like Oblivion, and DLC for their more recent games that seems to almost always do a far superior job playing to their strengths than the core release. It seems like they don't even try anymore these days until they get to the DLC, because at that point they know they have to actually work for sales, rather than the base game where they know the media and their fans alike will shower them with praise simply for having a large world full of endless shit to do, regardless of what exactly that might entail.

Again, I can't stress this enough, I like Fallout 4 fine. It's a good solid game. I enjoy playing it. Have like 2 days playtime on it so far. But everywhere I turn I can't help but think "this could be better...." and there lies the problem. It's fine if it's just the odd thing here and there, but it's consistent throughout. You simply don't deserve to be up for a GotY award when every single aspect of your game leaves (often more than) just a bit to be desired. It really feels like it's only up for GotY because it is, and has been, EXPECTED to be up for GotY (if not win outright), long before anyone even got any remotely meaningful chance to judge it.

I'm sorry, but neither this game, nor Bethesda deserve an award simply for showing up and not falling flat on their face.

What's ESO?

On the seeing more stats for Arena and Warzone. Do we see them immediately after the match like the past Halos?
