Man Gears 5 Versus feels so disappointing everything seems to of gone backwards. :(

Yeah it's sad, I was so hyped for it and I thought with Gears 4 they had a right direction and would build on it. I can't think of a single thing it did better than previous Gears except Judgment. And even Judgment had Overrun which made it overall a more enjoyable versus game.

I read there'll be a title update soon so thumbs up it'll improve. Not holding my breath though, it's so full of bizarre design choices. It hardly feels like a Gears game anymore :/

I made a long post but lost it so I will summarise what I said.

Maps - to big, to open, not enough cover for movement and lack of Gnasher brawling areas.

Weapons - Lancer hits like a mulcher, Lack of Gnasher brawling areas and the Gnasher 1 hit kills at 3 miles away which also takes away the thrill of Gnasher brawls and needing to hit them a few times to down.

I feel a lot of the issues arise from them targeting Arcade as their main game mode and it just knocked on to Core modes in a bad way.

Hopefully new maps and older maps brought back help solve the map problems and hope for weapon balance to get sorted out but that will take quite a lot fo time.

I haven't played co-op online yet but I imagine that still plays good so that's something to look forward to.

We can do mobile too!

Also, FINALLY! A MS Phone so I can flip the bird to both the Poor Pizza guys (iOS) and Lagdroid.

NHL 20 is free to play for Gold members this weekend.

Phew just achieved a 100% completion on Lego City Undercover. My favourite Lego game so far but too much stuff to collect.

Going to take a long break from Lego games now :P

Gears POP has been great after they balanced some units. It's much more tactical now and there's plenty of ways to succeed. Before update anyone with Old Man Marcus would win..and of course I got him after they nerfed him.

Pretty much.  I use to play these games when my son was younger.  I do not have the energy to do them anymore.

I only play them with my wife as those are the only games she would consider playing.
She's a huge Harry Potter fan, so she managed to 100% complete both Lego Harry Potter twice. I played a bit with her but she basically did all the work. Now that's dedication.

We also started Lego Pirates of the Carribean and The Lego Movie Video Game but finished neither of them.

This is why I’m most excited about NT they will be a workhorse studio for MS next gen and will deliver quality titles, I will write off Bleeding Edge since that game is very experimental for this studio.
