Watch them still get acquired.

Twitter embedding doesn't seem to work properly.
Anyway I could still read the tweets once I quoted you.

Just finished Hellblade. Overall I'd give it 7.5/10. (very minor spoilers in "review")

Combat is pretty fun actually. Sadly there's not much enemy variety to be found. Some might look different but except for the shield bearer, you don't have to change your fighting style at all. Camera isn't the best either. It's too close to the player and you will most likely get hit by someone outside of your field of view.

The puzzles are alright but easy most of the time.
Pacing is a little off. There's a huge part in the middle of the game where you just walk around and never fight at all.
I wasn't a fan of the ending and the hardest boss enemy is probably the Illusion Trial boss Valravn in chapter 2 (or 3 depending on how you play), which obviously comes far too early in the game.

There's little reason not to run, but even running is quite slow. After playing about 3/4 of the game I noticed an option to toggle running on and off. Would've saved my quite some pain in my left index finger. Also there's a bit of backtracking here and there (mostly chapters 2 and 3). While it's pretty linear, you can get lost easily, especially after a fight. It happened a few times that I accidentally walked back for a few minutes because the level environments look very similar within a chapter.

It's incredibly heavy on story telling. As for the story itself I wasn't the biggest fan. Kinda pointless honestly and I'm not sure what really happened. The voices were just annoying most of the time.

Graphics are beautiful for the most part. Senua's ingame face however looks off. Very uncanny.

As for Ninja Theory games, I still prefer Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.

Microsoft believes that its new studios will help it to achieve a primary goal, the delivery of one AAA game per quarter in order to drive Xbox Game Pass. With that said, it does not want to rush its new studios into delivering games before they are fully baked, and believes that any acquisition takes time to get its legs. Its ideal acquisition targets have proven content and strong development teams.

They currently have 343, Coalition, Turn10, Initiative, Obsidian, Rare, Playground, Ninja Theory who I would categorize as AAA studios.

So that is 12 teams(maybe 13 or 14) from 9 studios that could hypothetically develop AAA.

I know that they are not done expanding and that I’m not counting the 3rd party AAA that Global Publishing might secure, but I feel that it’s not enough currently if they want to achieve that especially with Halo/Gears and Forza all having 3 year dev Cycles. They would have to acquire more studios on the level of Ninja and Obsidian imo.

4 AAA per quater really is not that hard tbh. We already get Forza every year so they just need 3 more AAA and that will probably also include 2nd party games from MSGP.
