The other possibilities I can think of would be Ready At Dawn, Quantic Dream, and Supermassive, but I doubt it is any of those. Ready at Dawn has gone downhill alot recently with both The Order: 1886 and Deformers getting poor reviews and sales, so I doubt MS would be interested in them. Quantic Dream has a history of successful Sony exclusives in recent years, particularly Detroit, so I highly doubt that they would be interested in being acquired by MS. Supermassive is locked in on a 3 game contract with Namco Bandai right now for the Dark Pictures Anthology, which seems to be 1 game per year, and they just announced they are working on another Sony exclusive, meaning that MS wouldn't be able to get an exclusive out of them until sometime after 2022 most likely, so I highly doubt MS is looking to acquire them unless they are looking to play a really long game, lol.

I wouldn't count out Ready at Dawn from that list. Just because it doesn't seem like Microsoft even cares about reviews. All Compulsion games were also reviewed poorly but it didn't stop MS from acquiring them. I think I would even bet that this studio that they want to acquire is Ready at Dawn actually.

I think Ready at Dawn will only be good choice if MS plans to do a VR Headset alongside scarlet. This is because, Ready at Dawn's last game, was an Oculus Rift game called Lone Echo, which earned critical acclaim. They could be MS's premier VR studio if MS ever makes a headset.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Bluepoint is most likely but I would have actually liked Ready at Dawn even if the Order was a meh game.

Shinobi just hinted that Ready at Dawn is not on the table, I really hope that it's Bluepoint now.

I think picking up Bluepoint would be worthwhile. We've seen the success of games like; the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy and Shadow of the Colossus. Bluepoint could do the same for games Like a Banjo and Kazooie collection, Perfect Dark, and whatever else.

This comes to GamePass today IIRC. Looks really nice.

Would really like to see MS opening a big studio in Japan. Not that important for me but that would show they take this gaming culture serious. Not only a good sign for people who love japanese games but also to show other japanese studios that MS cares about what is produced there.

MS is a little bit too much focused on everything USA/UK...

They can't really buy a studio there but they could have build one already long ago.

No, this won't happen anytime soon. It is irrational to spend money on establishing studio in the market where you sell 100 consoles per week and have almost zero third-party support. It just won't make any sense. Probably it could have happened in the early Xbox days, but their new leadership doesn't like to risk with such huge investments.

So Mutant Year Zero is really good. Check it out if you’re into turn based strategy.

I'd like the wizards at BC team to focus more on enhancing the ganes since now we have a huge library of games. Starting from next gen when they should not be needed, I'd like to see them even enhance Xbox One games. Early games that weren't enhanced for X, like Sunset Overdrive and Ryse.
