Today on Sea of Thieves:
Me and my buddy started duo slooping to do some MA voyages while destroying Mermaid Statues (76/100 currently) while we saw an active Skull Fort with one sloop clearing it. No galleons around so we thought we'll sink that sloop and clear the fort. We sank the sloop and noticed it was a solo player and he had already cleared many waves of skellies. Skellies also managed to sink us so we sailed back to the fort and saw the solo sloop coming too. While I was reloading our cannons ready to fight him off he started talking with trumpet asking us to clear the fort together and split the loot. He sounded like a nice guy so we suggested we take the Stronghold Skull and he gets the Chest.
We sailed to the fort and skeletons sank his ship and he died. We cleared rest of the few waves and opened the vault. He arrived a bit later when we were carrying loot to our boat. He was kindly asking for some of the less valuable stuff but what the hell, deal is a deal and we insisted he takes the Stronghold Chest and some trinkets. Heh he was so cautious all the time and couldn't believe we weren't dicking with him and actually gave him the chest.
We could've used that GH rep but even in this pirate game I just can't be a backstabbing rat :P
Actually one time a Pirate Legend and his galleon crew were dicking with us in a similar situation. The guy was bit of a knob, sailed our ship and kept promising us one piece of loot etc. After some unexpected events se ended up taking much more than that while listening their raging for Ferry of the Damned lol.
