Anyone bought Tacoma yet, and how is it if so? :)

Around the Network

Made it to level 2 on the rewards in 3 days and up to 776 points now and can make 240 points a day, Takes a little longer on mobile scrolling down and clicking on the relevant searchers but easy enough to do in 1 or 2 loading screens whilst gaming :D

Microsoft Edge is a pretty decent browser actually, I might use it a little or for other stuff and see how it goes.

You know, I feel kind of bad for Volition when it comes to Agents of Mayhem. There is basically no hype for it, it's like Battleborn all over again. Just look at the poll, it's a AAA game and yet it has just 2 votes, losing to Sonic Mania and Life is Strange, which are both single A games, and Madden, a yearly sports title. It releases in less than 2 weeks and it's only at #345 on PS4 and #753 on XB1 on Amazon. It's doing better at Gamestop thanks to the Johnny Gat exclusive preorder bonus there, but it still hasn't managed to reach the top 100 on either platform there either.

I've been watching some of their archived hero livestreams recently and I can tell they really care about the game, it wasn't just some sad attempt to cash in on Saints Row fans, they actually think this is the game their fanbase wanted. I'm definitely going to give the game a chance and rent it, I really like the latest hero they announced, Scheherazade.

I just hope that if Agents does flop like it seems it's going to, that they decide to do Saints Row 5 next instead of trying another new IP or rebooting Saints Row.

I'm sure renting the game does totally help the devs out haha

That's generally what happens when you float some new IP out there with practically zero marketing. Seriously, the only way you're seeing a trailer for this game, is if you specifically go out of your way to look one up, nevermind any actual advertisment. My brother is a huge fan of Volition's games, and when he first herd about them making a new IP he was hyped as shit for it....fast forward up to release month, and he's decided it's probably not worth his time, because he hasn't heard a peep about it anywhere.

I know literally nothing about Agents of Mayhem and I haven't watched a single gameplay video anywhere. I only remember some CGI trailers.
Eh will likely still get it once it's cheap. Probably later this year lol.

Prey also sold like shit and yesterday I bought it for 16€....only 3 months after release.

Prey actually didn't do that bad all things considered. The original sold somewhere between 1m and 2m copies, and this one has sold over 1m so far with digital if VGC's tracking is right, so it may even exceed the original's sales lifetime. Of course we don't know what the budget was, it may have been much higher than the original. Considering it was developed by Arkhane's B team and had no high profile actors in it like Arkhane's other series Dishonored does, I doubt the budget was super-high. I don't recall seeing much marketing for it either, so the marketing budget was probably pretty low too.

It seems very likely that the new game was more expensive than the original. That was a 360 launch game after all, and game development cost has only been going up as time passes.

Btw, I haven't played either of the Prey games (not sure if I ever will), but can someone explain to me why the new one is even called Prey? It looks like it has absolutely nothing at all in common with the original whatsoever. Seems like they'd only be pissing off fans of the original by calling it that.....I don't get it

I've only heard of Agents of Mayhem when some used it to downplay Crackdown. Haven't seen any trailers, clips or ads and I know nothing about it. Which is pretty strange if it's an AAA game and releasing soon.

This also applies to me as well.
