Don't think the poll was rigged this time. Crackdown did get like lots of votes in a matter of minutes like Forza last round and crackdown 3,has been still getting more votes than Red Dead Redemption. Probably some Xbot lurkers that visit this thread.

Just woke up and wtf? 😆

Voted Red Dead Redemption but looks like it's game over. Well, at least I'll be buying both games at launch.

RDR2

voted Red dead but will get crackdown day 1 as well. assuming its not a complete and utter disaster.

Voted Red Dead 2, It will likely be a mega hit of the gen but crackdown 3 looks good also.

I don't get all the chat we have to have every round of "People only voting for something because it's exclusive" people may just be looking forward to playing the game and don't care less whether it's on other platforms. There are also lurkers who likely have Xbox as their second or third console who only play exclusives on it so if they are already getting Read Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 they vote Crackdown here as it's there most anticipated Xbox game.

Recore DE spotted on someones achievement list.

They could've made Recore 2 with the time they spent on that definitive edition.

Voted for Crackdown 3 btw.

Played the 8th mission of BlOps3 yesterday. Demon Within. Are you fucking kidding me? a WW2 mission in this game? It was so out of place and terribly designed. Only 3 more levels and I'm finally through the campaign.

Black Ops - alright
New World - boring except the chase and train sequence
In Darkness - pointless environmental hazards
Provocation - alright
Hypocenter - far too many robots
Vengeance - easiest sniper mission ever
Rise & Fall - alright if it wasn't for the repetitive battle sequence at the end
Demon Within - WW2 for some reason and zombies at the end for another reason

All of these missions have one thing in common though. They are too long. Each of them is at least 30 minutes with some of them up to 45 minutes. Reducing the time to ~20 minutes and in return adding more missions would've made this far more enjoyable.

Finished the campaign!

Sand Castle - pathetic on rails dogfighting and boring VTOL section
Lotus Towers - alright, but the boss fight was stupid
Life - another missions where you fight 2 ASPs in a row, suddenly enemies are infinitely spawning in one section, confusing ending

Now here's my final review of Call of Duty Black Ops III:

After the lackluster campaign of Black Ops 2, I really hoped that Treyarch would be able to do a better job this time. They have potential (BlOps and WaW), but instead, this one is just as bad. The story is terrible and honestly, you don't give a fuck about it. After all, it has no connection to the previous games. Some CIA black site project that went wrong. Leading to a chemical attack that killed 300,000 people in Singapore. Then there's some entity spooking through the minds of soldiers who received a Direct Neural Interface (DNI), most of them being yourself, your current team and your previous team. From what I understand there is at no point any real threat to humanity. There isn't even a real bad guy so to speak. Contrary to pretty much all other Call of Duty games. Therefore, since stakes are so low, there's no tension coming up.

Gameplay is quite good and what you expect from Call of Duty games. You can choose from several different weapons and cybercores at the start of each mission. The downside to that is that you probably won't ever change them if you found a good combination. Forcing you to use different weapons throughout the game would've created far more variety. The same is true for cybercores. While there are three different ones to choose from, each with six different abilities, there's no point in changing them frequently. I used one power that got rid of a few robots and one that got rid of a few human enemies. They all have a cool down meter, but in the end you can just stay in cover and exploit them over and over again until everyone is dead.
Graphics are quite good I must say. NPCs have greatly detailed faces and face animations, while levels can look very beautiful with excellent lighting effects. Considering CoD was never known to be a graphical powerhouse, this is quite impressive. However, the framerate can be quite inconsistent and drop into the 30s, which becomes very noticeable.

While levels look beautiful, interesting mission design is nowhere to be found. Most of the time you're walking from point A to point B. Sometimes you defend someone or something, sometimes you have to fight big mechanical war machine (ASP). ASPs are only vulnerable when you hit their core with bullets and then attack its weak point with a missile launcher for massive damage. They take about 5-6 rockets to kill. The problem is that they will become invulnerable again after one or at most two rocket hits. There are two spots in different levels where you have to fight two ASPs in a row. It's not fun, not that challenging either, just tedious. There exist a few vehicle sections but they are either extremely limited or completely on-rails. Like every CoD before, it also features a sniper mission, which is so easy that being detected is almost impossible. You can shoot drones out of the sky that will then crash on the ground without anyone taking notice. Treyarch also doesn't really know when to finish missions. Within 20 minutes of each level, it feels like they are going to end, only to see a cutscene that leads to another part of the mission. The missions average out at about 35-40 minutes, which feels way too long. They should've reduced them by 10 minutes each and add 2 or 3 more missions instead.

In conclusion, this game has solid gameplay, a story that is convoluted and straight up boring, with design choices that make you quite literally insane, but at least it's nice to look at...

Nice to see Red Dead taking the lead. Good time to end it I think =)
