SAD FACE

No new IP but I'm just thinking that like Phil said. Only show games that are close to being released. These are hopefully all ready to go and out by next E3. That's 42+ games including what will be on stage 2mor. Then we'll get the next batch. No one wants games that are shown and then not ready to release for 2-5+ years away. I'm not a fan of that bullshit. Some are and I don't understand that.

I've been waiting on Crackdown since it 1st showed SMH.

Me too. I played the first crackdown and enjoyed it very much. This seems like a similar formula just expanded apon. The game has a certain.... Attitude as well that's appealing

I agree with you that revealing new ip to early can be bad. It let's a lot of air out of the hype balloon. There still wasn't even one though and I'm disappointed. Though I suppose sea of thieves does count as a new ip, it just isn't the first time we've seen it .

I'm with everyone on the new IPs but there's games for everyone now. Plus Sea of Thieves Crackdown 3 and State of Decay haven't been on a Xbox One as of yet so they're still new. Well Decay but it was ported over from 360 basically. Plus it looks different. We want another hit to add to the stable and I'm hoping this is it. I'm excited for not having all the regulars on stage and ready for some Crack(😂) and State of Decay.

Hopefully our new regulars will be Halo, Forza, Gears, State of Decay, Ori and Crackdown.

Is that tails game for Xbox only? If it is add that to the regulars if it's well received enough to get a sequel. If not disregard

The guy tweeted there's still destruction in multi-player but what they showed was Campaign. How can you show graphical powershowcase in a cell shaded game? Crackdown has always been cel shaded. What were you expecting?

Personally, as a lifetime Xbox gamer, who's owned every console more or less since launch, I've never been less excited about the future of Xbox. I see no commitment to ambitious new AAA IP, just same old same old. Not buying an X at launch, or maybe ever.

It seems like it is. It looks good for what it is, unfortunately what it is isn't my cuppa tea. Even though I'll probably get cuphead... Lol.

Perhaps they should have rebooted crackdown. Chances are it's a standalone story and would be easier for newcomers to pick up. When you see a 3 at the end of a title, some assume you may need to have played the ones before.

Well for starters, the environmental destruction would be one graphical showcase. It was promoted as being so advanced, it needed cloud computuing, if I'm not mistaken. Now they oimitted it completely from the trailer for some reason.
As for cell shaded graphics, you can still make art styles of that nature look impressive. Take Guilty Gear Xrd and the new Dragonball FighterZ for example. Now imagine a game like that being first party and specifically designed to showcase the power of Xbox One X. Crackdown 3 being one of few exclusives left for Xbox, I expected them to take advantage of it for the sake of XB1X.

I told you about your 1st paragraph. Shannon Loftis I think that's his name tweeted about what you're talking about. Terry Crews even said we're dropping buildings in the footage. It hasn't been taken out man just wasn't showed.

The game looked exactly like I expected. A beefier cel shaded version of the 1st 2 games. It looked fine.

Agreed. I'm disappointed with the lack of new ip though. The price was hinted at several times for the Scorpio and even leaked yet people refused to believe it. The disappointment people are feeling is their unreasonable hopes being crushed. 4k games for $399? Gamer entitled attitude shining through yet again.

Phil showed games that are releasing next year. Actually most of them are launching next year, I believe.  At the end of the day it shows the lack of quanitty and quality in their first party. Thank god for Anthem though...and its very telling that they closed a show with a third party multiplat. Thats desperation.

So, as I predicted, it was a 7/10 conference.

Positives:
+ Xbox One X looks cool and it is the smallest Xbox ever.
+ Games like Metro Exodus, Last Night, Code Vein, DB FighterZ, Super Lucky's Tale, Ori 2, Anthem
+ Xbox Backwards Compatibility

Negatives:
- $499 price tag
- No new first party games at all. That is a bad sign.

Others have already said that Sony closed out shows with a 3rd party multiplat. Call them desperate for that as well or saying that makes no sense. They easily could have closed the show with Crackdown don't you think? Why this matters though I don't know

Same, especially if you know that we saw every exclusive that will release between now and next E3 and you can almost count them on one hand and oh yeah a bunch of console launch exclusives. Nintendo has more exclusives coming up with their just released console and Sony had more exclusives announced in the last 6 months.

I really feel sorry anyone who kept on believing in Phil.

Xbox one X btw way to expensive. Maybe great hardware but the price is not consumer friendly especially if Sony will reduce the price of the Pro to like 350...good luck Xbox One X..

Pretty bad show for something which was considered as the show for the fans.

I mean, hey, it's nice that you pay 20 developers to release your small or big indie game a few months earlier on XBO but god damn, you release the most powerful console ever and then we see only a few exclusives which we already knew about and which look pretty average except for the resolution and lack of aliasing.

Forza as only big new game from own studios and that on the most important gaming show. Ok, that was truly a show for us, the fans wtf...

Next time (which will probably not happen) you release the most powerful console maybe you will show us some new AAA games and which will truly be like "wow, that looks better as TLoU 2, GoW or whatever we will see on PS4 PRO"

But maybe they really don't know better. Maybe they should stop to follow only their extreme fans on Twitter and other sites who tell them every single day how awesome they are and that everything they do is perfect. Maybe they should start to listen to "normal" Xbox owners who say how it really is. I mean, they all follow guys like TimDog on Twitter and retweet them from time to time. If they believe that guys like him represent what they should listen to then good night. Ok, not sure what he said after this coinference since he has blocked me but I know what guy slike him said the last years to Spencer and the other Xbox guys.
