With Far Cry 5 this year is getting better. CoD WW2, destiny 2, shadow of war, AC Egypt, Battlefront 2. Big year for third parties.

Remedy has signed a publishing deal with 505 Games. Their new cinematic 3rd person action game will be on PC, Xbox and Playstation. I think this is fantastic news, hopefully it'll be much more successful than Quantum Break.

Of course, I wouldn't mind them working with Microsoft again in the future. Sequels for both Alan Wake and QB of course.

No one but Nintendo can pull that nowadays.

Microsoft is already doing that with Xbox one & Scorpio. Why not add a third weaker option, the handheld?

I thought about it as well. But I don't see it coming for at least 3 years from now. The hardware which will be able to run Xbox One games on a handheld device doesn't exist and it is impossible to make something like this as of now. Nintendo Switch in portable mode is underpowered a lot compared to Xbox One and it doesn't have a great battery life when playing AAA games. Microsoft can try to make a special gaming edition surface tablet which maybe is possible with current hardware but it won't be as portable as Switch so I don't think it will attract handheld crowd a lot.

I wasn't thinking about a "Xbox level games", I said a the same games running at a lower setting.

Surface team needs to do their magic and build a handheld gaming device that would cost $249-$300.

I have two concerns:

- Would the people who usually buy handhelds be interested on home console games? Or would they prefer lighter and simpler games? Nintendo games are better suited for this than Gears, COD or Battlefield.

- In three years when Microsoft releases Scorpio 2, how would this weak device fare? Scorpio would be the standard then. Would developer work on a device weaker than Xbox One? This idea would work Vetter if we have a traditional console generations and a handheld would release along with the new console.

The problem here is that they will need to downgrade games to run on this lower tier hardware. For example with the Scorpio, in worst case they can do nothing with already released games and they will run just fine the same as on original Xbox One. But if they release handheld, they would need to patch all 1000+ Xbox One games to make this handheld run them. So I don't see Microsoft releasing handheld until next-gen. Maybe when the next Xbox after Scorpio releases the technology will allow to put at least original Xbox One games on the handheld and so you will be able to play previous gen games as well as downgraded versions of Scorpio 2 games

Hard Corps: Uprising was my most wanted B/C game. I didn't have 360 or PS3 and wanted to play it so bad.

I recommend playing co-op with a friend. It's a tough game to beat solo.
