Forums - Nintendo Discussion - i actually like the motion control in splatoon..

motion control?

yup 56 75.68%

traditional analog FTW 18 24.32%

Total:74

i know most ppl hate it but i actually love it (although it requires some time to get used to it)

reason included faster aiming (just move the gamepad abit), helps to observe surrounding by simply turning the gamepad etc

i see no reason to disable it as long as you get used to it

btw, this game is awesome :P

Sure, it's a lot better.

I didn't see that much hate about it.

Does this game have Remote+Nunchuck support? I think that control scheme would be great for this game.

After I couple of matches I changed to dual analog to compare. After a couple of matches I changed back to motion.

Both work pretty well for me. I think dual analog might be slightly more precise, so probably better for sniping. However I felt motion was better suited for run and gun (swim and splat?) gameplay, which is how I play. Very intuitive and great for big and sudden movements, covering large area of paint, going vertical.

Definitely, it works way better with gyro controls. You can aim faster and more precise than without them. I've seen a massive improvement in my scores after changing to motion controls, like 200 points more in the multiplayer. And it doesn't take much time to get used to them. I tried yesterday to change back to only sticks and it was painful!

No, it doesn't. Hence why I didn't buy it, unlike that traitor curl-6 who broke down under his Nintendo fanboyism and abandoned his principles.

It makes no sense at all why they wouldn't allow that

i want to use the pro controller and a minimap on tv.

When i check the gamepad i cant check th tv and get killed often.

Definitely like the gyro controls better! Of course, I haven't spent much time with twin-stick aiming, but the motion controls were more intuitive and precise for me.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

I'd like Wiimote + nunchaku controller option at some point. Seems like a no brainer for a game like this.

All I gotta say is, I hope most people use it because it means easy wins for me lol.
