I don't think it'd be a huge difference if that were the case.

I think the console could use faster RAM and a little more CPU to solve its current bottleneck problems and get easier ports. Not really more GPU power.

My reasons for not buying a Wii U have everything to do with the design and game library, not resolution. In fact, some of the best-looking games of the generation have been from that system.
