Wii U happened at the exact wrong time. People were waiting for the greatness of PS4 and X1, Even if Wii U was as powerful as both of the twins, it wouldn't have sold. Because people were expecting even more from Sony and MS. Little did they know that they both adopted Nintendo's profitability plan and both machines were nowhere near as powerful as they hoped.

In the end I guess Nintendo got screwed because of the 'core' audience. They wouldn't have bought it no matter what it was or how powerful it was.

Yep... It's shit sales wise but it has become my favourite console of all time!

I still doubt Wii U will sell more then 15 Million :(.
Both Wii U and 3DS will likely be replaced at holiday 2016 and that wouldn't be a day too soon.

Think of Wii-U like this. It's a console that is going to get overlooked and mocked while on the market, but in ten years, people are going to call it one of the greatest consoles of all time. Basically, a modern Dreamcast.

I was a Dreamcast fan WHILE it was on the market and it felt just like this. I went down with that ship and I'm going down with this one.

I was writing this when I seen you beat me to it. Same with the Gamecube. And if you think the VMU's (visual memory units or memory cards for the Dreamcast, yes i know what they are and yes I have them) were expensive, wait until you see how much Amiibo's and some of the rare games that do not get a VG release *cough Bayo 2 cough*.

Handhelds usually always outsell consoles. Expecting a console to outsell a handheld is foolsih imo. Two different markets.

Yeah, the aftermarket a decade from now for hardcopy Wii-U games like Zombie-U, Wonderful 101 and Bayo 2 are going to be through the roof. So if you want to make bank? Buy two copies now and put one of them away lol

I don't think we see a home console until 2017. Five years is probably the better bet. The 3DS will get replaced next year though.
