What does that mean?

People keep saying PS4 is dominating due to hype and not because it deserves it. Well, here you have a list of games where PS4 utterly dominates, so in the future people can just look at this list before claiming PS4 doesn't deserve the sales.

I don't like the downplaying on either side but the number of releases a console has does not equate quality. This was true with XBLA and it is true with a lot of releases today. Btw, PS4 is dominating sales, it is only logical that it will be more heavily watched and criticized.

Sure, let's equate XBLA with PS4's list. Lol. Come on, you can do better than that.

This thread is just a response to the constant downplay the PS4 gets left and right by [mostly] the XBox crowd. This wouldn't need to exist if those people would just enjoy their favourite console without feeling the need to crap on the competiton just for kicks. 

Oh it's not like Xbox ever gets downplayed on here, especially Nintendo, no sir not at all.

Only pointing out that the thread is a response to the PS4 downplay going on right now doesn't remotely imply that such things don't also happen to the other two consoles. This thread isn't a response to the downplay that happens for the WIi U, so there's no point in bringing that up here. Any downplay of console makers and exclusive games going on on these forums is annoying and should leave the site to go find solace in the youtube or IGN comment sections. 

As for your last sentence, you see what you want.

Well you have to stop changing the rules to fit your argument, if we are talking big games only then sony will have release 1 good (Bloodbourne) and 1 bad (The Order) for the entire year. MSFT will have had 3, Halo 5, ROTR, and Forza 6.

Yeah sorry for confusion. All release dates are for the US. Japanese releases do not count.


Okay then Psycho Pass and Mystereet for XB1 is not set to release in US as far as I can tell.


Disgaea 5 and Samurai warriors 4-II is set for US though.

I see the list wars have claimed some victims. War is Hell.

Also, in fairness to the list warriors, there are a few PS4 games that are definitely not coming in 2015 like Bombshell, Wild and Wattam, a few more that were never given a release date like VizionEck and Deep Down.
I cannot say anything about the XOne side as I don't follow those news.

I wouldn't really include or list any game without a definite release window, as it's just inflating the numbers unnecessarily.

It's not an erroneous term. So what if it doesn't have an official usage, it was made by fans to describe things that aren't adequately described by other terms and hence is an apt description.

Oh and for the record, second person shooters do exist. Well at least one anyways, can't remember the name and I think it was pretty bad and flopped, but it does exist.


Just because fans are using a term doesn't make it correctly

correct. A developer is either independent, or it isn't.

Yeah, it's not an 'official' term, but there are many situations where i think it's a useful one. I personally like to make a distinction between something like MGS4, a 3rd party IP exclusive, and something like R&C, a Sony owned IP exclusive that happens to be made by a 3rd party.
