You know what..I certainly wouldnt say it's the best thing ever having replaceable batteries, So sorry... not sure many people would agree with you there... how many times have you heard people in forums say  "Sony screwed up by not allowing people to put batteries in their controller".. pretty much never. If were talking about by the far worst idea (to use your phrase), the most stupid decision was to make a console where it was going to be digitial only without the ability to change the hard disk... now thats stupid.

Personally I've never had a problem with Sony's controllers, I have more than one, and always one on charge if one is getting low. Not once have I had a so called low capacity issue. So there you go.

yeah it really sucks you cannot change the internal hdd if you can just plug in an external
i read hundreds of comments about the bad battey life of the new ds4 controller
and the ability to use aa batteries, enelopps OR accupacks would make that obsolete.

and do you never play with friends? so you have both controller in use and cant charge one
i still can easily charge some of my eneloops and if the old ones are low, i put in new ones.

can't be more easy

Yes I do play games with friends, and I have multiple controllers (I actually have between two to four controllers for every console i own - depending on where it is in the house), I dont see your point. Controller runs out of power, get another controller, plug controller without power into console to charge. How is that any more difficult than "hold on, need to replace the batteries". You could complain about the cost of needing multiple controllers, I would accept that as a valid point as they are fairly expensive, but if you play with friends alot, then it makes sense to buy more controllers, thats the cost of wanting to play with lots of people.

But for me I hate external rechargable batteries, more bits you need hanging around your house cluttering it up.

Hardly anyone I know would champion the benefits of having to use external batteries and having to plug in a external hard disk. That is poor manufacturing design.

One little thing about the external HD, this is one of the issues I had with the MS marketting of the XBO, the XBO was "The only machine you'll need" was part of their strategy, unless you needed a bigger HD, or connecting it to a set top box etc.. it was so badly designed/thought about in the first place.

I like having an External HD. It doesn't clutter anything up since its just right next to the Xbox. And if something happens where I want a new slim Xbox and I sell my old one I don't ever have to waste time re-downloading a bunch of stuff. I just plug it into any Xbox and there are my games. Its way easier than bringing over a bunch of game cases to a friend's too.

Rechargeable batteries are pretty much the same type of situation that you stated with your extra controllers. I keep some batteries charged up and if the ones I'm using get low, I change em out and put the low ones on the charger.

Plenty of devices still uses batteries if people no longer use them the market should already discontinued it. Also what "anti-consumer policies"? You are being too negative about this everytime Microsoft anounced anything, chill out dude.

by removing industry standards in devices such as a built in recharable battery and a 3.5mm headphone jack, charging extra to give you them as a peripheral isnt anti consumer now? its a clear cash grab dude, and instead if attatcking me personally, keep it about the topic shall we?

Wait cash grab? Are you saying batteries are own by Microsoft? You could buy a rechargeable battery at your local supermarket like I have. It only cost like $20 like I paid for mine a year ago. How did my last statement consider an attack on you? I didn't call you a "troll" or a "fanboy" or anything like that so don't assume things.

I have my main consoles in the living room, which when you have a new crazy kitten running around, and additional box for it to attack is not the best of ideas...lol :)

If you like it, thats fine, I'm more stating the fact that someone complaining that its the worst thing ever about not having rechargable batteries is a mute point when you can just plug in the device and charge them... there is no argument to be had there.

yes, the battery kit and 3.5jack extension is a clear and petty cash grab.

if you dont see it, i can't help you
but at least the marketing works really well on guys like you

if you have 4 controller and play with 3 friends (that makes 4 person)
and one is running out of power. what do you do? you can't change your controller unlesses you have a fith one.
and if 2 run out the same time, you need at least 6 ones

so you have to play with a cable attached

and the batterie life of the ps4 controller is still horrible compared to eneloops

I'm afraid the only one not seeing it is you. I dont play hours and hours with lots of players... I prefer single player, but when i do play with other people its not usually more for than 2-3 hours, because i have other things to do in my life.

And please stop with the stealth trolling with "but at least the marketing works really well on guys like you"... I mean what does that even mean, you dont know me or my preferences. I can only assume with comments like that the type of person you are. Now please stop with this crap.

yeah, and it's more than obvious, what kind of person you are
one person, that cant even think about usecases, beyond the own ones

well maybe all that stuff is no issue for you, because you have many many controllers to change, and only play alone and/or 2 or 3 hours at most.
but it's clearly a problems for many other person, who play more. play 7 or 8 hours with friends.

and you still denie the ds4 solution could be a bad one, just because it doenst effect you
the changeable battery option in the xb1 controller is a great option. and to think otherwise is just wired. yeah even stupid.

You are the only one throwing comments about "but at least the marketing works really well on guys like you"...."Yeah even stupid"

If you like Batteries, good on you, but dont make the mistake that your view is what most people think, as they dont and most people dont give a crap.

If you continue to attack people in a totally pointless way, then all thats going to happen is you are going to be banned, so just stop it.

This is only what you are thinking, some of us don't see it like this.
