The Wii U would have to get just the perfect new games and come in at a new price that causes a complete turnaround and a massive surge in the install base. That's the only way I can see this happening. I know a handful of people with Wii U's and all of them have Smash Bros., and none of them are interested in Splatoon, so I don't think it will sell anything close to Smash.

1. No offense. As I have said previously; you "act" like a 10 year old. Getting excited is one thing and talking illogical is another.

2. I am really curious how Wii U only gamers feel. I always have something to play in my PS4 (as a PS4 only gamer; sold my PS3 and PC is weak). This is how you feel when one game gets released in one or two months interval. Then I wont blame you.

3. As for the numbers it will do good. 1 - 1.5 million LTD. 2.5 million+ ???? Nope. Its not happening. For a brand new IP its very difficult. Especially in Wii U's small userbase.

I'm talking about solid evidence. You said that everyone expected it to bomb like W101 but, while I don't expect it, I also didn't saw any indication that it did sold well/bad.

About the OP, no. TF had a lot of mass appeal, something that Splatoon doesn't. If TF was multiplat I think it would have been as big as Destiny.

@Ryng_tolu - And please dont use the term "I predict". At least take a spreadsheet and put some numbers or use a simple "regression analysis". Or at least do it in a calculator if you want to make a professional thread. Making "prediction" is one thing and making "smart thread" is another.

It's gonna be extremly tough, but I wouldn't say it's completly impossible. We will know more by E3, I'm pretty sure Nintendo will come with some sales update about Splatoon by then. If the game continues to sell well, Splatoon could catch up someday but this will take a while for sure.

Even if it's an new ip it's well marketed and can attract both adult and children
