Forums - Sony Discussion - Will Until Dawn Be The Next Exclusive Hit For The PlayStation 4?

I think this game will be around 70 on metacritic. It may do well, but nothing to write home about. I think this game might be a fun game to stream which may help it in terms of sales, but it really depends on how many meaningful choices the player can make and how many different branching paths there are.

Here's hoping that it's as great as it sounds like it could be. I'd love to add it to my list of games I want to get when I get a PS4.

Yeah I think that's what I'm going to do when I get it as well. gonna stream it

It'll sell well, garner above average reviews, and ultimately be another feather in the PS4 hat (that may end up forgotten within a few years). Not a game-changer or system seller. Web-warriors on both sides will care about it far, far more than joe public.

I'll watch for that in August!  I wonder if they can add a poll during gameplay to let viewers vote on the player's decisions.  I think some games experimented with allowing viewers to influence the game, but this feature isn't being implemented enough.  In a game like this, it would make it much more engaging.

I'm interested in this game a lot, so I'll probably pick it up eventually. Probably not at it's full 60 price tag.

i doubt it will be a hit. im gonna guess that its fairly short and depends on replay value. also, it isnt the type of game that can garner many sales. if it gets 70+ reviews i can see it reaching a million when all is said and done. 80+ maybe 1.2m or even 1.4. if its 90+ maybe 2 million max.

but as far as this going on to be a big hit? i really doubt that. you got games like infamous second son that are gonna end up around the 3 million mark, and its an established franchise with a stronger marketing campaign. i just dont see this doing as good as infamous or better.

yeah a 20$ price tag sounds about right for me to want to buy this. hopefully they release it for 40$.

So have they stripped the Move compatability out now? I was holding onto them for stuff like this.
