Japan's relationship with sex is a fascinating one.

For all its rep as the homeland of hentai, the birth rate has plummeted, and the younger generations seem increasingly disinterested in sex.

A survey in 2012 by the Japan Family Planning Association found that a whopping 36% of males aged 16-19 had no interest in sex. (Up 19% since 2008)

The figure for girls was even higher, with 59% aged 16 to 19 expressing no interest in sex. (Up 12% since 2008)

Those are some pretty mind-blowing figures.
