Why are they still buying the PS4 when it has no exclusives scheduled for the western holidays?

So you are changing your story to it only has weak exclusives to offer now? Would be good if you could acknowledge that your original statement is wrong, and quite borderline as far as forum rules go.

Please note that I said that it was "weak compared to it's competitor" and not weak in and by itself. If you read my first post again you should notice that I intentionally made written to be self-contradictive.

You most certainly did not; in your first post. Did you write the "weak" bit in invisible pixels? "No exclusives" is an absolute term. "No good exclusives" is at least an acknowledgement that there are going to be exclusives. There is nothing self-contradictory about your first post.

I see. Regardless of what you think I said or not, the global market is not directly effected by the holiday season.

Yet almost single-handendly Americans are keeping the PS4's market share at barely 50%. Sure that may have a large market share in some place but it means literally nothing when there may be even less than 1 million PS4's sold.

Spider-sense ti- Outside of Europe?

There are markets where playstation has higher % market share, than inside of europe.

Ei. asian markets (ask a person on the street if they know what a xbox is, and that ll probably answear no).

xbox one is sold in 42 markets
ps4 is available in over 100 markets

not hard to gain 80% marketshare without any competition

When two part of the competition shoot themselves in the foot it becomes a no brainer.

I really can't wait for next gen for MS and ninty to bring their A game.

There are no laws or regulations forbidding Microsoft to launch in more countries.

But of course, one can always avoid losing by not competing at all.
