Yes, i do think that Microsoft has got some room to move here. Due to the PS4's huge sucess, Sony has been underestimating the competion and having a weak year in terms of exclusives. Also, i believe they will waste time with morpheus, wich is a lesson MS has already learned this gen with the kinect.
With Sony spreading thin, if we get a focus on games microsoft can start a road to recovery here. Of course, the road to recovery is a long one, just as we saw with the ps3.

Good luck?

I dunno, you guys are talking as if all that matters is that fact that MS can pump out their exclusive games for a single season of the year and that qualifies them to be gaming's champion.

As i said, its not only the slow year in first party software, its the waste of resources that Morpheus will be with Microsoft potencially keeping with a good policy on increasing first party development. Even with all that, it would still take years to shift public opinion.

Tbh though, both Sony and Microsoft have proven they become arrogant and disdainful when they are in the lead. I wish they would always take it seriously.

As far as I understand the new Halo is releasing this Holiday along with The Selling Out of Tomb Raider so I don't see any plausible way that the PS4 could sell more in NA than the Xbone with those heavy hitters.

300$ price drop ?

Could help as well but I don't know if it could be enough.

I like your sig. It's hilarious.

One is glad to be of service.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Thats overkill if you ask me. But they know that, wich is why it wont be more than $50 this year.

And Sony needs the money. $50 seems reasonable and very plausible.

Not just that, its like E3 is not a few weeks away and in the past sony has always showed how much bigger their first party studios are, while MS mainly focuses on third party that basicly comes to every console.

But it has been argued before. Many times in this very thread, with diferent examples, games released this year mentioned, past e3's broken down,  yet they refuse to accetp it. Its like religion, no matter how ridicoulous it sounds, if thats what your hold in to, nothing will change your mind.

So much this lol. October-December are the only months that matter. Let's just ignore the wasteland in the months before that, compared to the stellar PS4 lineup.

I'm actually trying to take a back seat with this whole nonsensical debate on 'why the PS4 is selling better'. The reason is in plain view but for some reason it still puzzles people. The main problem I think is that those who are 'puzzled' are using their own personal tastes to decide on which titles on the PS4 to remove from the argument. They haven't yet seen the corrolation between artificially removing games and their own 'puzzlement' at the sales. It's actually amusing to watch.

To sum up: 'I don't like those titles on the console I don't own so there's no reason for the PS4 to be selling better; therefore, it must be hype.'

The PS5 Exists.

"This generation has shown us, arguably for the first time, that you dont have to have the best games to be the lead console. Arguably, both the Xbox One and the WiiU have better games than the PS4, and yet they are being beaten (almost combined) in global sales."

I've always believed the Colecovision had the best games yet it was outsold by the Atari 2600, and that was way back when.  Arguably.  And I'm overall looking forward toward the PS4 offerings over the WiiU and Xbox One, combined.  There are a handful of WiiU games that I would love that are not on the PS4.  On the Xbox One there is... Rise.  So for me, the PS4 overall has the better games and is the lead console. Arguably.

This is why PS4 is winning and always will

You will say those aren't good games(not Sword Art Online directly)
You will say those don't count cause they don't get released in the holidays in the US
You will say no one plays these games

But the truth is people see how many games from all kinds of genres and developers the PS4 and ONLY the PS4 is getting.
The X1 is missing 99% of these games.
Its always better to have a big library of everything and only the Playstation is offering that.
People see that and those games get released 12 out of 12 months.
And yeah you have maybe to wait for something on the EXCLUSIVE scale of Halo 5 for example and so what?Uncharted 4 comes a few months later - It isn't like you aren't allowed to release games or play games outside of November/December
This mentality has to get erased

There are more people who like to experience different kinds of things than there are people who are willing to skip these out.
Playstation is a global brand for every kind of gamer on every place on this planet with games (1st,2nd,3rd Party) over the whole year. This is what people see and want. They don't want to get reduced to 2 months of the year with mostly the same 2-3 franchises.
Better skip those 2 franchises(currently Halo and Forza) and get or rather have the OPTION to get a ton more games the (in this case) Xbox will never get.
And obviously all the better versions of 3rd Party Multiplat Games...Both versions cost > full price < but one is superior.Sony us using this obviously to their favor and why not? They made the right decisions for their hardware.
People and especially new customers pick what is offering the better value and better future which is the PS4.
There won't be a turn around for Microsoft and especially the X1 if they can't get the WHOLE world and all kinds of developers supporting them. There is far to much to lose for the " 1 Console" gamer if they skip the PS4.
They skip Halo and Forza for a billion different games from all kinds of genres the X1 will never get and get all the superior versions of Multiplats...Pays off for most people.
And if those people wait a little bit they will get a X1 cheap soon anyway. There is no need to get one now for the couple of games you miss out if you like them at all obviously.
