Forums - Sony Discussion - ultra street fighter iv appears to be a bad port

Bought USF IV yesterday. The game plays perfectly fine, I haven't had any issues so far.

You can tell there has been some balancing done, Sagat isn't the overpowered character he was in the other editions.

For £20 the game is awesome and I'm enjoying it more than the new MK. The article sounds more like air sour grapes

Well, for more casual everyday players it should be largely okay. It's the pros and SF maniacs that are (rightfully) irritated with a sloppy port.

cheap outsourced garbage seems to be a theme more than ever this gen.

At least SFV isn't being sent to the morons for coding. Sheesh.

But I agree, criticism should be balanced. It's mostly playable just fine, but in terms of gameplay accuracy to be worse than the old gen7 and PC ports, that's not a good look. I don't often wish for companies to go under, but companies that butcher ports should go out of business imho.

Just wanted to post my reaction.

1.) A lot of moves seemed have been altered.I know people keep bringing up Decapre's teleport, I never mained Decapre, but I do see changes in a lot of other characters.

Chun-Li's kicks are different. Adon seems to be stronger.

2.) Unplayable (competitively) online. .

Conclusion: AVOID! Stick to the X360 version for now.

Capcom obviously went went as cheap as possible with this port.... These were the developers that handled the wonderful Mortal Kombat Arcade Edition afterall. Looks like that wasn't a fluke....

That being said, all hope isn't loss. EVO must use this version, and EVO and other tournaments holders are raising hell as a result! Hopefully this forces Capcom to take action!

Not PC ? Is something wrong with pc port too ? (or less ppl online ?)

Well that's horrible .

Even Kotaku has written an article about this:

http://kotaku.com/ultra-street-fighter-iv-is-kinda-broken-on-ps4-1707115481

It was said to be the best SF4 version, but I guess they meant worst =(

People forget fighting games can be easily patched, pc usfiv was the worse version now its one of the best if not better than 360

It's financially strapped Capcom. This doesn't surprise me in the least.

I'm a PC gamer first, but the fighting game community gravitates torwards consoles.

Money well spent, Sony.
