Your problem with Souls game is that you haven't played enough to get good at evading and parrying enemiy attacks. xD

But I understand those games are not for everyone. But I see your criticism more as you passing the blame of your own shortcomings on the game's design than as a valid criticism of the game's flaws.

The game's issue isn't being hard. In DS2, you can get killed by a little pig. It seems overly ridiculous to see a grown man die because a tiny, 10KG, pig is hitting him. It doesn't have anything to do with parrying/evading. That animal wasnt supposed to be able to hurt you even if you stood still letting he strike you.

What I do understand is that you like the game and can't accept that other people don't like it and thinks that you are a better games because you play it. This thread is about unpopular opinions, so that's what expected it. You think that it's the pinnacle of hard games, while I can guarantee you that it is nowhere close to that. Have you played NeoGeo? Real fighting games at max difficulty? That's what I called hard, not some badly designed RPG with poor animations and full of grinding.

So, why don't you clarify what games you don't like so I can say that you don't know how to play videogames?

@ bolded: Well, I never said or implied that. Since I don't like the Souls series much. But as far as I'm concerneed, they're very well designed games. I've tried all the games in the series so far, and actually got far into Dark Souls 1 and 2, but I find this kind of games to be frustrating, and I'd rather have a good time when playing games than get frustrated, so in truth, they're simply not for me.

I've enjoyed plenty of hard games throughout my gaming life, and I have played quite a few NeoGeo games. All arcade type games and fun. But nothing that special to me. I have played many hard games ever since I started gaming on the 2nd generation of console in the early 80s. I have played plenty of real (¬_¬) videogames during that time. In fact, the countless games I've played on most consoles ever released were actual real games. Plenty of them were excruciatingly difficult, but I had the patience to get things done back then. Nowadays, I will play on the hardest difficulty of games when I had a great experience with the game before that.

I'm not in a contest to prove to you that I'm better than you at difficult games. Suffice to say, you probably got good at the games you enjoyed, while the same applies to me and most people on these forums. There are no "true real difficult games" There are difficult games, and even if you dislike them, it doesn't change that their difficulty is still as real as any other games.

You sound like you're offended that I have these opinions. And yes, a lot of these are upopular. Go to any Nintendo forum going on about splatoon and you'll see everyone is crazed about it. You constantly see the Smash community going on about Melee being superior. Any topic about Nintendo amiibo and someone claims them as undisc DLC, they get lashed at. Nintendo policies... ok yeah, it may not be the unpopular one but when ever I bring up something about it, the Apologists are out in full force to defend Nintendo.

Not at all, your comment really pleased me, it's the first time I see a Nintendo fan being critic about some of Nintendo's weird practices...or maybe I'm simply unlucky when it comes to discussing with Nintendo fans.

ok, yeah, I juust got the wrong impression when you said my opinions were not unpopular. On other boards I guess which are not Nintendo related, they may be popular but I usually only deal with Nintendo mostly. Even with my PS3, I don't tend to follow it a whole lot of Sony... I really only own that thing for RPGs :D

DLC's aren't essential for most of the games, but they are still criticised.

Also, I don't think I'm the only gamer who doesn't like DLC's being available through toys, I'm sure most gamers considering their age will rather have them as downloadable content than having to buy a toy for such stuff.

Again, its an issue of Value. You would probably get just the digital DLC for the same price on a different publisher. Likely you would have to pay even more for it.

This isnt the kind of DLC that is the like of a completely playable character or new tracks and fighters. Its just a silly AI.

What i can agree with you in is that when the DLC is something like a new weapon or skin, it should definitly be available at a lower price digitally aswell. When its just an AI, then its perfectly fine.

I'll repeat a statement that I mentioned in another thread recently:

Sony Santa Monica has been a cancer to Sony since the PS3 era started and has helped contribute to their current lack of first party content on PS4 through their awful practices with smaller devs.
