Do you support Polyamory? Polygamy?

I support both. 78 48.75%

I support neither. 62 38.75%

Polyamory only. 20 12.50%

Total:160

I use to live somewhat close to the big polygamists settlement in southern Utah... And those people were crazy! It probably has more to do with their religion than the practice of polygamy, but there were so many problems with abuse in their society...

Personally,I don't support the practice at all... But I imagine in a limited case by case basis with everybody consenting to it... I wouldn't oppose other people's right to it. I do have issue with societies built around polygamy like in southern Utah and the history of my own church. People should never feel pressured or obligated to enter a situation like that...

Which group was it, if I might ask?

Neither. Both represent an intellectual poison. I knew a couple like that who worked their hardest to break up my marriage because they wanted to fuck my wife.

These people, in my experience, are usually psychopaths and degenerative.

That's a case where they were most likely using the practice as an excuse to do that.

Looks like you are making a sweeping statement off a small sample size.

Polygamy - No
Polyamory - If it's with consent of all parties involved

The FLDS.  There was a bunch of a news about their leader warren jeffs getting arrested and convicted of rape a few years back.  They mostly live in a city along the Utah/Arizona border called Colorado city.

About 7-8 years ago there was a bunch of drama with the FLDS. Gotta say, they aren't the best group around.

Yeah... Their was a big raid on one of their ranches in Texas and the arrest of their leader that made national news.  They are still plenty of drama, but it is mostly just contained to the local news.  Right now their is some legal drama over money.  Their members don't actually own anything, they give everything to their church and then the church divides it up.  Evidently one of their leaders had been siphoning funds so now the government has put somebody in charge of their funds and they are fighting it... Or something like that... I only half pay attention to all their crap these days...
