No, actually there are a crap load of shortcuts and check points that let you get back to where you were.  If you actually played it a decent amount you would have found this out

yea the chalice dungoens sux and DS2 is just garbage. The only good game was and is DkS1. Best music, best levels, cool bosses and balanced gameplay.
Bloodporne is just good graphiks with fraction of the content that DkS1 had.

King's Field is awesome, but you will probably hate that as well.

Just because you don't like a previous game in a series doesn't mean the same will hold true for the latest iteration. In terms of Devil May Cry it goes like this:

If I'd have him m judged the others by part 2 I'd have missed out on some good games. I'll probably revisit Bloodborne. But I think it falls well below the review scores.

And although discussion and opinion is wellcome here, this kind of thread with the purpouse of bashing a game is not very liked by people in vgc. For the obvious reason you'll see on the thread. No common ground, fans defending to death, some people trolling and no good being resulted from it.

You do know you can speed run to the boss right? kill it and you will open a new checkpoint. It's even more central and from there, you can open several short-cut gates and all you're problems are over. you don't need to kill anyone to progress, you can skip it unless if you wanna level up which is a good idea.
The game is a bit of a drag in the beginning, but as soon as you beat the first 2-3 bosses the game will turn into a blast. I play Witcher 3 at the hardest level, and the frustration was even more real then bloodborne so i doubt it that you did, but i give you the benefit of doubt

Oh god, Bloodborne a bad game and yet the worst RPG combat Ive ever had the displeasure to play is somehow the saviour. I guess if what you were after was a (so far) lackluster story, boring combat and horse riding simulator 2015 than yeah I guess Bloodborne wasnt the game you were after.

Nope. Love it. Again, it's not Bloodborne's difficulty that's off-putting. You guys all seem to think these games are the only difficult games in existence.
