This seems like a good time to mention that RE: Revelations is on sale in the eShop right now, just $9 on 3DS. I'm thinking about getting it. It would be my first RE game, aside from that time I played RE4 for like a half-hour.

It that a worthwhile investment of my time and money, or would it be a waste of those to develop an interest in this series considering its inconsistent relationship with Nintendo platforms?

Yes, very worthwhile, imo. The Revelations games really brought back the horror element of the series, but not necessarily the survival-horror aspect since you'll find plenty of ammo throughout the game. The story is canon and the game is a great one to start for newcomers. It really shines on the 3ds, too. I hadn't played many RE games before this one and it rekindled my interest in the series. RE:R 2 is even better if you ever get a chance to play that one, too. 

OT: YAY! Loving these RE remasters. Keep 'em coming, I say! Just two things: Cross gen? Booooo. Digital-only? Booooo. 

Other than those minor annoyances, I'm pumped! 

People seriously complaining about it being crossgen?

Its an HD remaster of a game from 2002, its not as if the 360,PS3 are holding it back.

Are you saying there are no RE fans on Wii U?

No, I don`t mean that. If it was, I would def buy it again if it did. I would love it if it came, but at this point, I figure most things will pass the Wii U. Also, Ninten fans may have enjoyed this game already on the GC. I def did ; )

Nice. This and the originske REmake made want a GameCube back in the day.

Knowing how Capcom loves Co-Op, I'm pretty sure this will be Co-Op.
