Where are the Hardware Price Cuts this Gen?

Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Where are the Hardware Price Cuts this Gen?

For accuracy, wii u technically hasn't received any price cut,the production of the basic set which was costing 299$,was abolished and the 349$ costing premium pack got the price of the basic set...So essentially this isn't a price cut, there was already plenty wii u at 299$...
And 8gb vs 32gb(wow 50$ more than the basic set, just because of the quadruple capacity, ooops that doesn't add up,nintendo exaggerated...) doesn't make any difference to be honest,I don't know if the white vs black makes one!:P

Nintendo is probably trying to maximize profit with WiiU and imo it is the best thing they could do giving WiiU situation..

Cutting the Wii U price serves little purpose now. They're just riding it out since after holiday 2013.

Interesting...

By following that graph, the Wii U should have a price cut soon then

Logic would suggest a price cut in preparation for the launch of a big game... Like Mario Kart 8, or Smash 4, or Splatoon... But this is Nintendo XD

I'm willing to bet there will be a $249.99 Mario Maker bundle in September.

Hidden behind Nintendo's stacks of $$$.

Everyone knows Nintendo doesn't have stacks of money, instead they have a ton of DS, DS Lites and DSI's which print them all the money they need.

OP: They're probably ( as some users have said ) trying to maximise profits. Same with he Wii which up to this same period of time, still didn't get a price cut.

We all know Sony domination is a real thing and there is nothing Microsoft or Nintendo can do about it....

The Wii U basic model dropped to $199 within a year of launch, that's how I picked mine up back in 2013.

I would imagine a wiiU price cut in august/september

Doesn't that mean they're causing inflation?

Look at your graph, there will be a price cut this year. Betting 1 week ban.
