4-7 hours ??? I've spent the weekend on the Witcher 3, 21 hours I felt I barely DENT the beginning of the game.

I love when ppl throw the AAA title to every game with fancy graphics these days.

0.8 million WW says one of two things. It either says that it's a cult classic and a really awesome, unknown niche game or that it wasn't that good. I think, considering it's hype and constant PR, it's safe to say it wasn't that good.

Personally, I haven't played it... so I don't know but if I had to guess, I don't know how anyone could say otherwise.

Not a lot of hype.  It got commercials but there was a TON of negative articles leading up to release which counts as dampened hype.  Overall I'd say most people wanted it to fail because it's a PS4 exclusive and they don't like cinematic games.  I enjoy both gameplay and cinematic games and really enjoyed the order and will keep it unlike most games where I sell after beating them since it's so cinematic and that adds replayability for me.

I believe this game was just ahead of it's time and misunderstood. Like one of those works that demand us to evolve a little bit as human beings to properly appreciate.

It wouldn't be a THE ORDER thread without someone trying to say this, lol. 

"These reviewers didn't like the game that I did, so they MUST HAVE PLANNED IT!". 

Just accept the game as what it is and the reviews it got and move on. They're just other people's opinions in the end, just like how you think the game is great, they think it is awful/bad or just not that good. No point in trying to get defensive over something that isn't even true. I have never played the game but seeing people get all defensive over other people's opinions is really tiresome, especially when they pull out the dumb "They must have planned it!" card.

There was no smear campaign or hate campaign. The game is what it is.
