but i agree in terms of sales I would be suprised if P5 outsold UCC. on the other hand, in terms of reputation this Persona series is along the lines of Soul series.

People act like remastereds are made to rob us of our money but it requires somebody wanting the game and them willingly handing over their money.

As for the "focus on new games" argument. Most of the time, the work is outsourced to a 3rd party developer or to a small developing team they own and is usually a small team specifically put together for remakes.

If the team do handle the remaster themselves, it's relatively a small task and uses minimal resources. And if they can generate more money and help studios expand or survive, it's another plus.


I never said it waste of money, but this is next gen. They are so focused on remastereds that its taking away from new entrees which could be invested to widen the interest. Instead they are trying to lure people to old franchises which will already have the capacity to sell consoles themselves. I mean the only two remastereds that ive enjoyed are Halo and Last of us but beyond that its a bit much.

I really do not know what people expect. Sony has released a lot of game already, several new IPs and several new IPs are in the works and Uncharted 4 is a stones throw away.

To me there isn't a sign that they are misusing resources. But hey, there's usualy a bandwagon to blindly hate on something, why not jump onto the "Remasters are evil" bandwagon.

And how exactly do they "lure" people to buy their games? With a trail of sweets to the PS4 games stand?!?!

Don't know why but it seems to be mostly Nintendo fans complaining. The people who actually own a PS4/XB1 as a primary console know of all the great games because they play them every day. For instance, take these great games. Not a single remaster.

Im hoping for a miracle for Sony to save face with that new Guerilla title. Until then I am sticking with the Xbox One until Sony does something to entertain me. With Tomb Raider and Halo 5 coming its pretty much in the bag for me, but with E3 around I might eat my words. Heres hoping that Sony throws it back in my face.

The Uncharted Remastered Trilogy is almost a given. I would be very pleased with that!

Besides, i do belive in The Last Guardian for this holiday season. Call me crazy all you want, but to be honest: Anything can happen at this point. This project is a possibility, as long as there is no official statement that clarifies the opposite.

I do think Sony will be fine regardless. Im a bit more worried about people who currently own a PS4. As of right now, i doubt they will be as happy as Sony. One big surprise can change that at E3, i really hope so. ;)

The Andrew House statement has given me a lot less hope. I do not know what Sony are doing because they have a lot of games in the pipeline. I could see them releasing around 5 next year and another 5 the following year to get all their projects out there. (strictly talking about 1st party)
