Zero. Unless they are completely restructuring the game (say for a new console, or to change the artstyle or what have you). Either way you'd think they could get something out for E3 given we saw it around 6 months ago.

Then why wouldn't they release the zelda u we were shown?

Your guess on that is as good as mine. Instructions from higher up? Game being over ambitious? Or delaying the game to make it the best it can be? I can't tell you if the reason is any of these; nor can I tell you why. But we can speculate and speculation is really all we can do right now.

Look at it another way. Were there really no changes in the game at a fundamental level, then they could at least show a video as they did back six months ago of the game, even if there was no playable demo (which there should really be in that time). So the fact they have nothing at all to show speaks volumes in and of itself. I understand the argument to prioritise development, but your system is weak right now and Zelda is arguably the biggest thing which could help. Hence it seems unlikely that the game wouldn't be shown at E3 unless there was a damn good reason, like the ones I mentioned in my previous post.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah, I suspect the game is undergoing serious revision and/or being retooled as a multiplat with NX.

If it wasn't, it would cost nothing to show off some of the stuff they had playable late last year. The logical explanation is that last year's stuff is no longer representative of the final product, therefore they can't use it without engendering bad faith.

Maybe Aonuma was misunderstood.
He may have meant that Zelda would not be playable at this years E3. Perhaps they still have a trailer for it.

Maybe the game won't be at E3 because it won't be playable at the show floor, but in the end will be in the Digital Event even if it's a 1 minute story trailer.

I just hope it shows up in some form too.

I think this is a case, it will not be on show floor or playable, but we will have trailer at Digital Event.

Not showing previously announced and showed Zelda at E3, would be first time ever. Also, Zelda U is biggest Wii U game that left, I can't see they skipping biggest gaming show.

Good to see that people in this thread are hard at work doing exactly what I said: Justifying for themselves that what Nintendo said is somehow not the case.

How about you take a look at the poll? Also it's more like 5 people in the thread itself.

I don´t see those 5. I see some people that says they wish/hope , but it won´t be, and some ironic coments. Very few people here has seriously said that it will be.

And anybody can vote in that poll, you doesn´t even have to be registered here.

I don´t see anywhere that amount people "hard at work doing what you said", the vast majority here has said NO, and even on the poll NO is winning.

This as well actually: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7302822

Considering that the second half of this thread is more about Zeldas artstyle I'd say that this is a substantial amount. And "no" shouldn't be winning this poll by only 6 votes.
