There seems to be about a much likelihood of this as there is a Wii U exclusive Shemnue III. We can hope right?

A trailer showing a Zelda game that's completely different form the final product.

That's next E3 when they reveal NX. As usual, they will show a Zelda demo that's exactly what gamers want, then bait-and-switch it for a toon one that turns off non-Nintendo fans.

I disagree with your opinion of what "gamers" want, as the vocal majority praising Zelda U... And the other half thinking he was a female, lol.

If you expect anything Zelda U related then it's your own fault when you inevitably get disappointed.

You guys should listen to me more often.  I posted this was going to happen in that thread.  I also posted that it'd be released on the NX.  It's going to be delayed and come out on NX first.

It's not that a game in Zelda U's vein is unwanted, just that it does not have as much appeal to the mainstream as a more Twilight princess/Ocarina style approach. A huge proportion of today's gaming audience are 13-30 year old males who gravitate towards the dark and "mature" and flinch away from anything that seems "kiddy".

I will be happy again, because I want zelda to look more like a Ghibli dream than like Uncharted to be honest.

It's good you'll be happy. I was referring more to sales potential.

I would say Zelda U has easily attracted a LOT less hate than Skyward Sword or Windwaker. In fact it seems to have gotten just as much backlash as Twilight Princess did for introducing a Wolf Link and ripping off OOT. I mean, is their even anyone really complaining about Zelda U?

Being open world earned it some brownie points, as those are all the rage at the moment. But I guarantee that if it looked like the 2011 tech demo, it would draw a lot more attention from the PS/Xbox crowd, as that's the kind of game they prefer. And appealing to people who don't already own your console it critical to moving hardware.

It's possible that Nintendo are a bunch of liars and they bring a teaser after all.
