Won't stop people from still expecting the game at the conference, people always find ways to tell themselves that Nintendo (or any other company really, the same's happening every year with Sony and TLG as well for example) just lied or was misunderstood for some reason.

Well yes, but those are development problems.What i mean is, even if you have the best team and resources at your disposal, you cant really know if there will be problems with the engine, like Kh3 had, or the vision for the game get bigger and you end up doing more than you planned to do, like happened to the Witcher 3.Those are things you cant know so early, and you dont count them in when you give a launch window to a game.But having a trailer ready or a part of the gameplay to shown without leading people stray of what the game really is by a certain time is much simpler.Truth is we do not know why nintendo wont show it, but i dont believe he is a company that would simply lie about something like this
