Interesting how quickly the shift for progressive movements happened so quickly in Ireland. Regardless of my thoughts I'm happy for the people's choice and for more freedom in Ireland.

Actually, in your poor attempts at smarm, you basically state the exact opposite of reality.  When women have access to zero options with regards to abortion or birth control, they're forced to do so in secrecy, which ends up with the aforementioned fetuses in trash bags due to no proper medical waste disposal.  In the US and I think Europe, there used to be a terrible terrible epidemic of women's deaths, due to being forced into seedy back ally operations (it's where the correlation with a coat hanger and abortion came from), any damage to the uteran wall during pregnancy, bleeds, and bleeds tremendously (no clotting in the womb).    So women would literally bleed to death (and still do).

Congratulations Ireland!  Well done!

Every victory for human rights is a victory for humankind. Well done, Ireland! May your example encourage other nations to follow in suit.

Yup, just one little piece left!

Anyone else think things like VGChartz and Facebook are partially responsbile?  Through Social Media people meet all sorts of different kinds of people and interact with them in a safe non threatening way.  And people go, "hey, he is a insert term (Gay, Jew, Christian, Muslim, Archioke, etc.) and they are ok." 

How many people here in the past few years said, they never knew a gay person.  Only to find out some of their VGChartz friends are gay or lesbian.  It makes them less threatening and more like real, normal people, which they are.

I know for me it was like 20 years ago on some TV show I heard about furries.  And I was like "oh, that's um, odd."  Now in real life some friend have come out and that, and you know?  I don't care.  Be happy, be nice to each other, it's not that hard - but sometimes it is when dealing with the unknown.  Espically at first. 

And I'm calling it, the next big thing is going to be people with their robot boyfriends and girlfriends.  It's going to happen, and maybe that's the best they can do.  So who am I to judge?  All I can judge is what's right for me, and how I want to live.

Not sure if you are joking or not, but sorry if you can't be happy for this.  Many loving couples are now going to be affirmed, that when they get married, they are one new family legally.  People will also treat themselves better because of this.

There isn't anything wrong about being gay.  Just like their isn't anything wrong with being left handed.  Both have been vilified by certain religions over the years, but it seems humanity is growing up a bit.
