Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One Has More Exclusives Incoming, “Brilliant Time” To Be An Xbox Gamer – Microsoft’s Graeme Boyd

I might probably face a bit of criticism for writing this but the truth is that Microsoft’s line up for 2015 Holidays is looking much stronger compared to its counterpart, the PS4. However, that could change next month if Sony announces their plans for the upcoming and all important Holiday season. But as of right now, the Xbox One is clearly leading the way with Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6 and The Rise of The Tomb Raider.

But it seems that there are more exclusives on the way.  Graeme Boyd who is the social marketing manager at Xbox, has revealed in an interview with gamer2gamerevolved that there are more exlusives besides the ones that are already announced.

Speaking about Halo 5, he admiited that the franchise is important to Microsoft but there is lots more to come besides Fable Legends, Quantum Break and Rise of The Tomb Raider.

“Absolutely. As you can imagine, Halo is a huge deal for us at Xbox and I can’t wait to see where Master Chief’s story is going in Halo 5. If you’ve been following the #HuntTheTruth stuff there’s some really interesting stuff going down, and I think we’ll really need to question our understanding of Chief as a character and the relationship we’ve all had with him over the last 15 years.

“I think the new direction 343 are taking there feels fresh and new and exciting but still distinctly Halo, so I’m really excited to see and play more of that.”

“But the most exciting thing for me is that Halo 5 is just one exclusive Xbox One title still to come. We’ve also got Forza 6 on the horizon, Fable Legends, Quantum Break, and lots more to come – and don’t forget that Xbox One is the only place you can play the new Tomb Raider this year. That – plus all the big third-party titles – means it’s a brilliant time to be an Xbox gamer.”

Microsoft have confirmed that they will be showing a new IP at next month’s E3 but it seems that they will probably showcase more than one game for the Xbox One. If these new games are launching by the year’s end or early 2016, it will be indeed be a a brilliant time to be an Xbox Gamer.

Can't imagine MS having anything new for 2015 or early 2016. Not when games like Scalebound and Crackdown 3 are announced with short CGI trailers and not heard about again for a year.

Regardless, it is empty PR talk.

He counts Quantum Break, thus he's talking about the lineup past 2015 as well, that's why the only response I can muster here is "duh". So here goes:

Duh.

why are so many PR fluff pieces are getting posted these days? first party developers continue to develop games. no shit sherlock. please use some discretion when posting "news".

Right. When was Forza Horizon 2 was announced and released?

"Xbox One is the only place you can play the new Tomb Raider this year."

Does that mean that it will be multiplat next year? If so, I wonder when. I don't really like the idea of timed exclusives so hopefully, they will have more Exclusive Exclusives. But hey, if games come to x1+pc, i ain't complaining

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I don't see what's the big deal of TR being multi-plat anyway. It's being made and probably everybody will get to play, so yay?
Hopefully it's not fully exclusive to Microsoft platforms and makes Xbox division make their own through Black Tusk.

"don’t forget that Xbox One is the only place you can play the new Tomb Raider this year."

So, is the X360 version canceled? Or this guy got tangled in all his PR yarn-spinning.

Forza Horizon 2 is old IP with shared engine/assets from another Forza game which being released every year for last few years, but scalebound and crackdown are not yearly games or some game sharing its engine/assets with another game so their new IP's are not making sense getting released early 2016.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

This, everyone needs to stop posting these PR fluff articles.

"Sony employee says everything is going to be fantastic!"

"Microsoft employee says xbox is going to be amazing!"

It's all meaningless drivel. That's what they're supposed to say, also wasn't there a new rule against just copy and pasting articles from other sites?

It'd make for a much better discussion if you took actually meaningful short quotes from these articles and discussed those instead of posting the whole thing where 99% of it is just PR speak. I mean what else are they going to say in an interview, it's non-news.
