Forums - Politics Discussion - Christianity is Anti-Hatred of People or Groups of People

[UPDATED] Having the fortitude to be Non-Dominational, I generally don't have to deal with the extra crap tacked on.

I wasn't going to make this thread because it is pointless, but then I realized, there are enough stupid threads about stuff like this already, so why not kill some time.

DISCLAIMER: I do not speak for any other religions and belief systems: this is solely Christianity.

DISCLAIMER2: The Bible, Christianity, Faith, and practically every religion and human belief system are up to interpretation. However, this is core tenant of the Bible and I'd love to see someone try to wriggle around it. FYI, you really can't.

Christianity, like most other religions, defines a lifestyle.

A lifestyle is how a person lives and can be broken up into two major categories: Intrapersonal and Interpersonal.

Interpersonal is one's relationships with others, while Intrapersonal is one's relationship with one's self.

Intrapersonally, a Christian is only required to have faith and love for Christ. Being sinless is ideal, but is not only impossible but irrelevant. A death row convict can go to Heaven simply by asking for forgiveness through Christ.

Interpersonally, a Christian is only required to "love thy neighboor" or in essence, not hate them. That being said, hatred of thy neighboor(another person or group of people) is a Sin and doing so is not Christian.

Thus, if a so called Christian says "God hates X" (where X is a person or a group of people) they are either not a Christian, or at the very least sinning themselves.

In Christianity, God doesn't hate Sinners, in fact the entire point of Christianity is to save them(FYI: all men are born Sinners according to the Bible)

You know what I hate people who don't follow a specific religion but expect themselves that just by reading the Holy Bibble they think that everything in there is what this particular religion believes in, that's what I hate. I would also take down that video if I were you.

Technically, The Bible only concerns Christianity, all branches subscribe to it, which more or less defines a belief system under the category of Christianity

that being said, practically every religion has multiple sects, that believe in different aspects and interpretations, and even these vary among indviduals.

All of which is made clear in the OP, which I doubt you read very well, only because of your perplexing reaction. FYI, I am non-denomonational which is a sect of Christianity. On those grounds, it doesn't make sense.

That being said, every religion has core tennets that distinguishes that Religion from another. Saying Christianity preaches hate, is the same thing as saying Islam says that Jesus, and not Mohammed, is the Messiah. It is simply wrong.

As for the video, I don't see how it is a rule violation.

Edit: After further reading more touroughly the OP, I still don't understand why he even bothered making this thread ( He said this himself but whatever ) though I see his point, still it's quite contradictory especially the introduction of the video.

The fact you think a video clearly stating that anyone who follows cristianity is on drugs, already makes you far too biased
against chritianity to be able to handle a topic such as this without it turning into a hell hole. Also your OP already has certain quotes taking the bible out of context.

You are clearly confused.

The point of the video, is the line at the end that asks "Any questions?" Although my post and the video are juxtaposed, does not mean that "any Christian is on drugs".

This thread is not Anti-Christian, it against the idea that people think Christians are hateful or bigotted, Hate is not Christian

If you think the OP is Anti-Christian, than you have read it wrong.

well, my personal believe is that Christianity should be focussed around the idea

"love your neighbor as yourself", with "neighbor" meaning every other human being

along with this gem and lots of stories of Jesus sympathizing with the poor, the ill, the outcast, the weak etc there unfortunately also are some repulsive and discriminating rules and stories in the bible

I edited the part. Maybe the the video should have been emm. titled better and the over all Thread should have been made a little bit after the "Cristianty has fallen" thread. Though I do agree I'm stupid as hell, for thinking this thread is anti-christian.

I am not really one to partake in these threads as they usually end up in endless debate. But the bible does say God can hate.
Prov. 6:16-19, "There are six things which the Lord hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, 19 A false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."

He hates sin for sure. And His justice is infinitely perfect in that he cannot sin.

You are probably correct that Christianity is anti-hate. It's just that somebody forgot to mention this to Christians when they were indoctrinating them.
To me, Christianity is also anti-logic, anti-common sense and anti-freedom.
