Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Should Mario Kart feature more none lap based tracks?

That would be cool. I love big tracks

I love big tracks, but I noticed a bit of backlash towards them too

I would like them to do more of that type of tracks, but i don't want all of them to be like that, i would get bored...

I wouldn't mind having more of them but I would also like the option to increase laps in versus mode even for the none lap tracks. They can just make the track warp you back to the beginning if needed.

They should keep them special and limited but amazing.

Also, I want a lap count alternator like Double Dash, and we can have portals at the end of the longer tracks.

Sonic & All Stars Racing had tracks that changed between laps and alternative routes. That is an easy way of making it more interesting and at the same time recognizeable.

2-4 per game is probably gonna be the limit. The issue with these types of tracks is bananas are made worse.

I think we have enough of these types of tracks in MK8, in my opinion.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I'd probably stick with having only about 4 per game. Having too many would just make the track type less interesting imo.

I love having variety. As previously mentioned, using different track lengths as well mixes things up, which I'm a fan of too.
