Yeeeaah.

Mostly just because I wanted to finish the game and it was the most immediate choice.

Nino kuni, all xeno games (mmm I don't know if a can count xenosaga's trilogy as good games tough), every final fantasy and basically most open world rpgs.

Heck now that I think about it, almost every good rpg out there Fall in this category

Tales of Symphonia, Blue Dragon, the entire Fire Emblem series, and Xenosaga are some that come to mind.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Fallout: New Vegas.

I'll summarize it for you: Kill the guy launching an attack on the president. +20,000 fetch quests to get to that point.

You actually saved that schmuck?

Disregard the profligate, clearly he cannot comprehend the virtue of the legion's rule.

I've played through three Tales of games (Phantasia, Destiny, Symphonia) and all of those had pretty darn mediocre stories. Fun to play though!

Final Fantasy X-2's story was quite awful. Not sure what they were thinking there. Oh brother... >_>

Final Fantasy 5 defined excellent gameplay with average storyline. I liked the characters but couldn't pay that much attention to the story.

I would at least put it up there over FFX

Which Suikoden did you play? its like the Shin Megami Tensei games, alot happends from game 1 to 2,3 ect.
The first installment usually isnt the best of the bunch.

Bought the first one on PSN after the hype Suikoden II generated upon being rereleased. A lot of people suggested me that I play Suikoden I & II  in order to get the most enjoyment out of it. Although I heard that the 2nd one is vastly superior. I doubt I'll play it though considering how disappointed I was with the first (I haven't even finished due to lack of interest, though I heard I was pretty close).

The Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise, Nice combat system, awesome soundtrack and brilliant dialog and characters, yet it has no good story.

Skyrim. Decent game but 98% of the story was complete and utter garbage.

The Last Story, ironically.

The plot itself is quite generic and predictable, but the charming characters, dynamic combat, rousing music and slick pacing make it an excellent game nonetheless.
