Xbox Infinity

I think they will go to the standard style of Xbox Two

Would get confused with Disneys "infinity".

A game the Xbox has, unless Xbox partnered up with disney and their plan was to go the nintendo route with Amiibos, but use Disney figourines... I dont see the point in that name. Could end up confuseing parents.

I was thinking the exact same thing!  Except I think it will be called:  Original XBox.

There is no way that Microsoft will do the incremental numbering because they will always have one generation less than their main competitors (Sony). That is why they named the second Xbox the Xbox 360 and not Xbox 2, since 2 is less than 3 (PS3). The same reason why they didn't name it "Xbox 3" when they are competing against the PS4.

The best name out of what you listed would have to be Xbox Infinity.

I think that could send the wrong message.

It makes it seem like there theres little to no progression and again, it can confuse parents/casuals.

If windows can "skip" 9, then surely the Xbox could do the same if MS really believed that line of reasoning.

I think its a silly logic, its worse than the ones I previded for the "circle around to same name in various ways" idea, or the "infinity" name.

MS should build a brand name with the Xbox.

Part of that is finding something and sticking with it.
