It's surrounded in the rankings by Res. Evil 4, Half-life 2, GTA, Bioshock, Goldeneye, and Halo. Not too bad, I'd say. 

It is interesting as about 0.5 separates half a dozen games.

In playing it, I am not sure where they could knock it down -- other than it is a tick slower than Melee. Also, Nintendo's on-line not being Xbox Live causes others to deduct the score. But there are some reviewers that appear to be giving it demerits because it does not do everything they wanted it to do (i.e., it only has two non-Nintendo characters).

Also, there are a lot more reviewers today and many are placing a more critical eye on games than in the past (while others just like to be PITAs). This trend makes it more difficult for newer games to have higher scores -- making what SMG did even more impressive. Still, SSBB is fourth for this generation, trailing only SMG and two incarnations (Xbox 360 and PC) of the Orange Box.

(Only six of the top 20 games of all time on Gamerankings.com are from the current generation. And that includes two PC clones: SMG, Orange Box (360 and PC), SSBB, and Bioshock (360 and PC).

It's 14th if you open it up to games with 15+ reviews instead of 20+

The thing is that it would be top ten if GR didn't double up on cross platform titles like Orange Box and Resident Evil 4. Someone should weed those out. They are the exact same game afterall.

It's at 13th? OMG! That's freaking amazing! I mean, Melee didn't even make top 200 all time, or even top 100 for the generation!

That has to be the most improved sequal by AGES! And, this is Gamerankings, so only American reviews (I care a lot about this) which makes it even better! I'll let GR slide through on this one though.

Don't expect this to last though. I still believe it will end far away from top 50 all time.

And btw, how can you tell if the game is 95.2 or 95.5, and that changes 8 spots. Not all reviewers review all games, so the ratings are just random (But yay anyway :P, good news are welcome, bad are ignored :P)

I'm disowning Brawl. Freaking 13th best videogame of all time...I think I might crack my disc in half.

Amazing, but will up more.
