"They"?  You mean Nintendo fans?  They called them that in an attempt to disparage both consoles, along with the connotation (from some) that HD was something they did not care about.  No one else used that term that I can remember.

Now look what you've done.  I'm probably going to be moderated because I used the name "Nintendo" in a post that wasn't completely positive.

Also, as an aside to those who don't understand that a handheld console is a console, please at least look up the word before making up your own definition.  Seriously, go ahead, the rest of us will wait.  If you use the word console alone when you meant home console, then it's your own fault if people bring handheld consoles into the discussion.

Oh no!

Hey, I got banned partially for a post where I said that Woolly World should release during the holidays because kids and parents would like it and I never got an explaination.  I think that says enough, and why I'm pretty much done here.

Regardless, you're right, this isn't the place for that, though we all know the OP's intent with this from the start.

In terms of top-quality games, my favourite console of all time is still the GameCube. So many of its games have aged incredibly well - Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Baten Kaitos and its prequel, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4, Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Eternal Darkness, Pikmin 1 & 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door... it might not have had the humongous library of the PS2 but it made up for it with consistent quality releases.
