Second impressions, or first after actually playing the game:
Great start of the story. I set the language to Polish for that extra bit of immersion. Luckily I have a projector as I don't think the subtitles will be a comfortable read on a tv. (It does sound a bit like playing a tape backwards at times)
The cut scenes suffer from constant judder, almost like there's a 3:2 pulldown filter over it. The game itself runs smooth luckily. Camera movement is fine for me, yet I'm now used to treating the analog stick as if defusing a bomb after playing project cars :)
Movement is indeed akward, the same as I remember from Witcher 2. Which I played with keyboard and mouse, controller movement feels a lot like using the wasd keys, no analog feel to it.
Color / lighting is a bit off too. It makes it look a bit like a pastel painting which is not a bad thing. It goes with the low res feel of the scenery. There's plenty eye candy anyway. First time on the horse I kept stopping every few steps to check out the scenery. The trees are all possessed though. I live around plenty trees, lots of wind, and whatever is going on in the witcher does not look natural. It's all moving in fast forward. Must be the magic.
