Forums - Movies & TV - Pi..tch puuuurfect too? How in The United States runs the world did this movie beat Mad Max!!! Monday update: Mad max wins the day!

Well, as a teen it was very hyped. Every girl I know went to see it, as the first one was quite good. Lots of press release was on it too.

I haven't seen the second one, but from what I heard, it's quite good.

As for beating Mad Max, I'm not sure.

This is why more of us need to go see mad max, support great movies

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Well Pitch Perfect isn't a bad movie. And it appeals to the people that actually go to the movies. Young adults.

There are more fat chicks who like to watch movie about fat chicks when there is no other teen trash offering around.
US cinema (and its audience) has stopped circling the toilet drain long time ago, it is already deep in the sewers.

Pitch Perfect 2 was hilarious. Woman making fun of themselves, pretty funny. Mad Max was really just one big action scene with explosion and crash after another. It's not that bad, but not the masterpiece some people say it is for there was not much story. Still a good film.
Fun movie vs dark gritty movie, pretty simple. Plus Women haven't had many movies.

Pitch Perfect 2 was pretty great. It's pretty easy to see why it's been successful.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

It's good that women have had 2 good movies that cater to them released within the same weekend.

Dismal isn'it it.

Maybe if they marketed the femgenda of Mad Max more they could have got more people seeing it.

For an R Rated movie, MM did perfectly fine. 40 mil puts it about on par with Prometheus box office wise. At least it didn't flop like Dredd, which I honestly thought could have been the case.

Time have proven you can not compete with tweens. They are an ignorant and impossible group. Single handedly made crap like Twilight, Divergence and Hunger Games as popular as they are.

Because adults don't go to the movies nearly as much as teens do? And because the ones that had heard about Mad Max (besides specially interested ones) are kinda old now, and well.... Points back to my original point...

ow please.. we all know Ryan has seen Pitch Perfect.. he just wants to be seen more "manly" among his internet friends..
