Fighting on the horse... I tried it, impossible with the frame rate and the camera, too hard to watch. It's Quen and Igni for me as well, plus whatever bombs I have equipped. The horse is better for running past enemies, Geralt always turns to face them instead of jogging along, and you can't climb when enemies are near.

Try Aard sometimes , I find it's good for crowd control, if you have decent sign intensity it knocks down enemies for a while, so it's good for packs. Specially since it gives you a chance to kill them then with one stab.

I use Aard too, but there is a weird delay in that spell. It takes half a second before they realize they have been hit. It's quite funny to watch actually. However sometimes the delay is long enough that they manage to get a hit in after I've already cast Aard.
Axii and Igni are more reliable. Igni is good to quickly get rid of low level annoying packs and Axii is an immediate stun without delay.
I only use Yrden for Noonwraiths, kinda useless spell.

Quen together with the upgrade to use Adreneline points for casting makes it possible to keep hitting high level golems continuously while dodging around them. Still takes a while to chop one of those down.

The Witcher 3 gets an enormous console patch and new free DLC this week
By Dave Tach on Jun 10, 2015 at 8:30a @dptach

I thought we already had 1.04 on PS4?

Thats a shame. I can't  say much as its pretty much flawless on pc. Yea  the game sis pretty awesome. For me its the best RPG this generation and definetly best one this year. Wow you have dedicated qyuite a bit on it. Is this just one playthrough or multiple?  I dont blame, i would be frustatied  if i experienced that many issues. I wonder if peopel playing xbox one suffers the same issues as you ?

This just happened to me:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTvFPCGRRUc

It's happened to me quite a few times, but it always crashes before I can get any footage. And PS4 doesn't let you capture anything once it crashes. But I noticed it happening and I quickly hit the share button to save. It let me keep only about a minute and a half of footage, but enough to capture the bug.

Every time this happens, the game crashes. I go through at least 3 crashes a day at the moment.

Edit: Here's another random bug: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrMaUrn4KS8

Odd, I had a game crash before on ps4 and it offered uploading the last bit of gameplay and let me enter a description of what was going on at the time of the crash. I guess that's not standard. Or does the entire machine crash?

I can't finish the lvl 35 Creature from Oxenfurt forest quest (Opinicus) in Velen. I managed to wear him down at lvl 22, guerilla warfare style, long long fight. I had to come back later as he bugged out at some point stuck in a tight flying loop. After doing the missing brother quest the griffen luckily came unstuck. However the person I have to go to to collect the reward and xp is dead, floating up and down in the ground with his feet twisting in sync.

The lvl 33 quest missing brother quest you get when you enter Velen turned out to be easy and very boring. Bad AI let me pump the spider full of arrows from a safe distance, like shooting the tail of the dragon in Dark Souls. At least I got rid of all those heavy crossbow bolts I had collected over time.

I'm in Skellige finally, the glitches continue but it's better than Novigrad so far. I wish Geralt would stop flirting with Yen though, have some decency man. It doesn't matter what option you pick.

I hope I don't run into that crashing bug, probably will as I seem to run into every other possible bug in the game :/

Try to turn off POIs - once I got to Skellige and saw how much better landscape is for free-roam, I finally felt like playing open world RPG instead of going through 'to do' POI list. there are still some bad design moments, just like in Vellen, bit it's way, way more enjoyable (well, at least for me).

Yeah I did as soon as I arrived. But still have to peek on the map as there are no directions to where that experiment happened. At least the roads make more sense already and it's nice to look at the world instead of the top corner. It would be nice if you could zoom out the map more instead of it going to the world overview. It's a lot of panning and scanning to figure out where something is without the minimap as a direction reference. I guess it will get better as I get to know the layout.

PS4 allows you to report the bug and it captures what causes the bug and allows you to send it as well. But it never let's youkeep the glitch footage. Once you send the bug report it doesn't give you access to the last 15 minutes of gameplay footage. You have to hit the share button before it crashes.

I was not able to do that 'til yesterday. If you look at Ciri's face in the vid, you will see her with crocodile bumps on her skin. It's happened before so when spotted the bug I knew it was about to crash. I hit the share button quickly, or it would not have let me keep the bug/glitch footage.

After spending so many hours on this POS game, I say POS now because how I have been royally fucked.

This game is a huge broken POS. There are now two ways around it.

I did everything in my power to get a certain ending, the one where Ciri is empress. I got royally screwed out of my ending because the game decided to throw a few very important side quests that I had completed into the failed quests column.

I captured video of it happening. There is nothing that will make me go back and ever play this game or any other witcher game again. I have almost 300 hours invested into this game, and now I feel I have completely wasted my time.

F.U. CDPR, you will never get my money again. Witcher 3 just went from a great game to a mediocre game in my eyes.

Edit: This game doesn't deserve to be mentioned as a GOTY contender. No game put on shelves this broken should ever be GOTY.

Sorry to hear that. I could say it's the journey that counts but I know how much it hurts.
At least you got an ending, my virtual ps2 memory card corrupted on ps3 on the way to the final dungeon in FF12 after 120 hours of game play, wiping all saves...

I stopped caring about the ending after White Orchard where the game forced me to do things I did not see part of the character. Currently my best ending would be going away with Keira Metz, fuck Triss, Yen and Ciri, they can all die sending me to clean up their mess everywhere :p

The game is mediocre but I'm still having fun. I finally had a great battle that was fun from start to finish. It's far from perfect, but the chase was great.

That's the Witcher 3 gameplay at its best for me, 13 minute battle with Morvudd.

Video won't play for me at the moment. VGchartz is somehow affecting my ability to right click on videos.

There's a vid of the game throwing a completed mission into the failed quests list. A very important mission that definitely affected my ending. I even went through the trouble of reloading the game and looking for the quest in my completed quests list, that's when I took the clip. And it indeed is in my completed list with all checkmarks green and yet when I start the next mission the game says I failed it.
