Better than The Witcher 2 and much better than the first game. I like the direction they went with the game to be hoenst.

Oh? How so? I know there's a few differences to Witcher 2 but I really enjoyed that so was wondering what the biggest positive changes in your eyes are.

Side quests feel more meaningful and help to build the world better, the story is at a really interesting point, and the world is much larger and quite fun to explore. The gameplay also feels more varied. I find the difference between the 1&2 in quality to be larger(mostly because of combat) but I think three takes a lot of what Witcher 2 did well and polished it even more while adding the open-world aspect quite well.

I am having a blast playing this game, quests are so good. I am level 11 and there is so much stuff to ddo n this world.

Only problem is that framerate on ps4 is pure garbage, dragon age had some drops here and there but this is so much worse, its dropping all the time...

I've not heard anything before about framerate issues...perhaps it's just your PS4?

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Love the game so far, side quests are some of the best ever in a game. But what the hell is up the the baron main quest line tho?? were going through all this trouble just for a little bit of information about ciri??? it goes on for wayyy too long. JUST PUT A SWORD TO HIS NECK DAMNIT SMH

Also the load time are even worse then Bloodborne, and im playing on hardest difficulty so im dying just as much as i do in BB, and its really starting to piss me off honestly, but i will push on because of how good the game is.

Some nitpicks, specific movements is kinda clunky like youll have to kinda wiggle him about if you're trying to make small movements. Looting items is kinda annoying also its making me grow a hatred for candles

I'm an rpg fan of both western and Japanese rpgs, but this game so far is amazing. Side quests don't feel like a chore. I actually want to do them. The story is engrossing and I find myself wanting to know more. I love how the conversation  system sometimes gives you choice, which  prompts you to ask the right question or even control the mind of the person you want to have power over. It's just flipping awesome. This game is for RPG fans though. If you arent into a meaty story....I doubt you will be too into this game. Most of the people who cannot understand  why this game is so good probably are not used to the Witcher a resourced based combat where one must prepare them selves before walking into combat with a vicious foe.

As far as I'm concerned  Dragon Age is lucky this  game got pushed back. This game so far is just asking to be goty. All that's left to topple it's glory are batman, rise of the Tomb Raider and halo.

Has anyone completed the "Gwent: Big City Players" side quest? After I beat the old lady, she tells me to go see Sigi Reuven in Novigrad. Problem is, it says the quest is completed, so it doesn't show me where he's at. Anyone have an idea where he's at?

Is it just me or does it take aggges to lv up? iv got like 10 plus hrs clocked, did everything in the first area yet im only lv 4!??!

Just finished the prologue and I think I hit level 4 when I get the EXP for the final mission.

From what I can tell the main point of level up is to unlock the "slots" that you use to activate your attribute points. For instance I got to level 4 in the prologue but found 4-5 places of power that give you an attribute point when you unlock them. So I gained 8-9 points in the prologue.

Oh ya impression, so far so good. It feels like 1/2 between DA:I and Skyrim as far as world building and such. With a hint of Shadow of Mordor in the combat (and the ability leveling system)

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

The Side Quests in this game are the best Ive come across in any game really. The attention to detail and variety is commendable. I also love how I end up caring about most of the NPCs I encounter.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I agree. The side-quests really give life to the world. Non of them feel like a chore either.

That's good news. One of the major drawbacks of titles like Xenoblade and Skyrim were their unsubstantiated and same-y sidequests (for the most part), which you felt like you were doing because you had to rather than it provided anything of note. Having fewer such quests but far more fleshed out and with wider variety is far more important to me and I'm glad to hear that Witcher 3 has taken that approach.

Still shocked about some decisions i made that had some horrible consequences >.>

Yep. Thats the Witcher for you. makes it seem in game like you're not really making major decisions but by the end of the game the world blew up and the bad guys got away. LOL Last game had like 16 different endings. I love how subtle their choice-based tree works too.
