There is no question that Nintendo IS NOT in danger of going BK - So I agree with you that they are not in financial trouble- My point is their primary business has been shrinking for years and losing money or break even the last 4- Nintendo today is a shell of the company it was only 4-5 years ago and has continued on a downward direction since before the Wii and DS-

IMO Iwata was so concerned with getting the earning back to break even or profit that he sacrificed the WII U/this gen, overall market share and at least some aspects of the future to do so-

Let's face it, Wii/DS era was most successive generation of any gaming company ever, over 255m units of hardware and around 2 billions software, that will never happen again in industry. But of course Nintendo can be stronger company nextgen than this gen, especially with all this changings that they doing or they announced.

This can't really be answered until 2015 is over. I mean, you dismissed someone's list out of hand because "many of these titles could easily be delayed to 2016". What if they aren't?

Also, what if Nintendo has a 2015 game to announce at E3? What if some of their 2015 games turn out to be unexpectedly good, or bad? We'll just have to see.

Er why do I have to wait until year over to compare Jan - may? Also I was asking where the rumoured 1 game a month games were and comparing last years Jan - may line up to this years Jan - may line up.

I dismissed that list because half those games won't release this year because if they do they have nothing for 2016.

2nd half of 2015 is obviously going to be a lot better than 1st half

Not quite it; I didn't bother listing lower tier indie titles or stuff like Project Giant Robot/Guard or Skylanders/LEGO Marvel.

Well, they do at least have Zelda for 2016, which is the only game on that list confirmed for that year as far as I know.

Aside from that, that's a poor reason. You can't say they won't have anything in 2016 without these games, because you don't know what they have planned for 2016. We didn't know about a lot of 2015 titles until E3 2014.

And honestly, I don't think 2014's first half was THAT much better, if at all.

OK but I'm just saying IMO they will show NO new big games for 2016. I mean we are still waiting for games they announced in 2013.

I am pretty sure we will se around two big games for 2016. this year at E3, one of them is probably Metroid.

For now for EU and US for 2016. we only have Zelda U and Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, we will certanly have more new announced games.

People have been forecasting Metroid at E3 every year since 2012.

Except that, Metroid was on two previous consoles and gamepad is perfect for Metroid game. I say that are pretty good chances to see Metroid at E3.

With Fatal frame and Xeno coming this year it looks like the best Wii u year to me personally. But i can see why others would feel differently
I don't feel like distinguishing games by status has any relevance though. Retail, digital, f2p, AAA, indie, none of those things tell me how good a game is. I All these retail releases on PS4 and X1 and I don't want almost any of them...that goes for Splatoon as well.
